Just so you know, the word thunk is a term that originated as a whimsical irregular form of “think.”
I read that 5% of the people think; 10% of the people think they think. The rest don’t think at all, they’d rather judge. The percentages may leave us with a look of wonder on our faces, but not surprised.
Thinking is difficult, to some it’s like having a job they hate, others say stop thinking and end your problems; which sounds stupid to me. But, on the other hand, it sounds just about right because, in my opinion, to stop thinking is to be dead. If nothing more, it will end your difficulties
By the way, I think if you have tried not to think, you probably realized thinking is the number one cause of why most can’t sleep.
Did you know the essence of the independent mind lies not in what it thinks, but how it thinks? For instance, the world isn’t just the way it is. It is how we understand it. You have to work hard to think clearly. So, make it simple. A first-rate mind is only happy when it’s thinking.
On the other side of the coin, some people are unhappy with the thinking process because, if one thinks, one must reach conclusions, and not all of them are pleasant. So, when I say you have to know how to think, you also have to know: We cannot solve our problems at the same level of thinking that created them.

Vera Nazarian tells us, It’s a fact, everyone is ignorant in some way or another. Ignorance is our deepest secret, and it’s one of the scariest things out there because those of us who are most ignorant are also the ones who often don’t know it or don’t want to admit it. It’s simply too much to think about.
Before it is too late, go out there and find someone who, in your opinion, has beliefs, assumes, or considers certain things very strongly and very differently from you, and just have a basic honest conversation. That is, if you think you can.
Lao Tzu tells us, In dwelling, live close to the ground. In thinking, keep it simple. In conflict, be fair and generous. In governing, don’t try to control. At work, do what you enjoy. In family life, be completely present.
In my case, writing is thinking. To write well is to think clearly. That’s why it’s so hard.
