Risk comes from not knowing what you are doing. Warren Buffet. The thing is, not knowing that, seems to be very common these days.
In my world, how we deal with what we’re lacking will make or break us, like it or not
I think the only way to find out what’s next, is to trade what you do know, for what you don’t; which happens to require a lot of courage. What if the people of the world were courageous enough to fight just as hard to understand others, as hard as it does to make us disagree with each other?
The thing about risk is, if you win you will be happier, if not, hopefully, you will be wiser.
Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all. The truth is when we play too safe we are taking the biggest risk of our lifetime by not putting in the effort to try. It has been said this is an all or nothing the world; no risk, no gains, no pain. I am not so sure when it comes to the no pain part, I’ll believe that when it happens; this world was built on pain.
Thanks be to God, the world is full of people with the courage to take on risk and the pain that comes with it. They are adventures, entrepreneurs, problem solvers, notable winners coupled with willing losers, ready to take on any type of risk. Playing it safe will merely cause us to forever wonder what might have been.
For the most part, things can make drastic changes when we risk involving others. A good example of that is when we fall in love.
It seems as if when love comes into play, we are more than willing to risk it all for that special someone, although it has been proven over and over again that when taking a chance on love it can become life’s ultimate tragedy. The thing is, the riskiest part of being in love takes place when every rational part of our bodies are screaming, “DON’T DO IT.”
But, for the sake of love it’s not all bad. I believe Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk falling in love, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience that reveals the human spirit, and all that come with it…
I know the majority of us want to be the best we can for ourselves and others, but if we truly want what we say out of our mouths, don’t be afraid to get out of your Zip Code and create new paths because if you are unwilling to risk being unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary.
Consider this, when you’re too afraid to take on risk, the cowards say, you shouldn’t try, critics say, you can’t do it, but the Creator will say, Well Done; that is if you try.
It’s Something to Think About!
