YOU KNOW THEM!

The deceivers, hanging on to everything you allow them to come in contact with, especially the inner you.

You had better Stop letting people who do so little for you control your mind, feelings, or emotions. Will Smith

We all know the culprits we just don’t recognize them. They can be the people who, depending on who you are, that can easily become addicted to your fame, money, and even the attention you may receive from others as deeply as they can become addicted to drugs.

They can also be narcissists who are consumed with maintaining a shallow false self to others through you, and their jealousy of you can become a hidden agenda.

So, let’s talk about the State of our Friendships.

I think, most times we don’t know what that special someone is up to because we trust them, but the good news is, if you ever find out their intention is to put you down, while trying to bring themselves up, because of your qualifications, just know, If people are trying to bring you down, Be Proud of it. It only confirms that you are above them. And that friend is a Fake.

Everybody knows, keeping bad company can ruin good character.

I assume you know that, but if not, you still had better start watching who you hang out with, but more importantly, pay attention to the others that love you too, and the information you receive from them. There is truth in numbers, especially if it’s about the same person.

And let’s not forget if a person tells you who they are, believe them the first time, oftentimes there are no second chances. You have been warned.

Your closest friends are the ones who can truly pierce your heart.

In other words, stay away from people that don’t have anything to offer but praise. The praise they give often causes us to shower them with gifts. And that’s a habit we have to make them feel special, all because it’s easier to keep them near, so we can continue enjoying all the adulation they bring. The thing is, they’re only there for the gifts anyway. It’s simple, they know what makes you tick.

These people or persons are your enemy. It’s easy to know them by their habits; pay attention because your Ego won’t; it’s ready to eat anything others are willing to feed it. It’s a Human thing.

LEAVE YOUR MARK!

Contacts can be found at the bottom of each post, and sharing is encouraged.

All good men and women must take responsibility to create legacies that will take the next generation to a level of possibilities we could only imagine. A good reason to Carve your name on hearts, not tombstones.

We all have issues, and most are not unique to others, some of us even look alike. You know what I am talking about; like when someone swears they have seen your twin, etc. But, what makes you different from all the rest is what you carve out in this Big Wide World that makes you stand out, but more importantly is how you help others make their way.

Even though most of us are alike in many ways, there are exceptions. Some people like me, have friends and foe alike that love to question where our information comes from. That’s because most people are skeptical, and\or too lazy to do the research. Their goal is simply to tear you down.

But I can tell you experience played a huge role in answering that question, because reading, writing, and listening is fundamental. Leaning to your own understanding without tried and true references are detrimental.

The majority of my opinions on norvielcherry.com, have come from hard knocks, beautiful experiences, knowledgeable people, and roads well traveled. I was fortunate enough to get out of my Zip Code in order to see how the rest of the world was living; and was that ever an eye full of wonders, and some not so amazing. In fact, some left me horrified.

I believe my legacy is to share the information I have learned.

I have seen and done things I don’t want any other Human Being to experience without some type of knowledge of what to expect. I am also a devout believer in not taking information from anyone who has never experienced the problem or situation they are giving advice about.

I also believe proven information should be shared for the benefit of others. So, I talk about what happened to me and what I have learned from those adventures in the form of a Blog. For instance, I didn’t know Chemo is administered one small drip at a time. Did you?

The things I have discovered through trial and error is we have to make our mark the best way we can. We need to find that one thing that lets the world know at some point we did exist, and was someone to be reckoned with.

A good way to start is to make yourself a priority, by being your longest commitment.

An example would be when I had 3rd Stage Breast Cancer I survived because the will to live was burning brighter than the cancer inside me. I had to live in order to tell others how to fight it. The information was too valuable to die; it had to be shared. Hence, I Survived 60 Years to Get Cancer, Then Kill It/The Norvie L. Cherry Story.

This is my legacy for all those interested to see and learn from; and I don’t expect anyone to take it as gospel, but, It is what it is. The personal accomplishment of writing that Testimony in the form of a book is the fact that no one else with my name and book is enshrined in The Library of Congress, forever. It’s there for all to see or read throughout history.

The beautiful thing about knowing what you learned is nobody can take it away from you. Although jealousy, envy, and the rest of the gang may try, beating it out of you won’t work. You know what you know.

Some say Like the Sands of the Hour Glass, so are the Days of Our lives. Well, that’s your life, you can choose to let it slip away one grain at a time, if you so choose. Not me, I choose to use every minute available.

My mother’s favorite saying was, I buy you, books, and buy you books, but all you do is look at the pictures. Don’t let that be you.

And just for the record, while others are watching Soap Operas, I enjoy The Learning Channel, Discovery, National Geographic’s, etc., I even like some children’s shows like Holy Moly because it teaches us how to draw.

Others may think, I think, I am smarter than the rest. The facts are, I choose to put into play what I’ve learned by sharing it with others, so if that makes me a know it all, then so be it. All you have to do to make your own mark is to read and learn from reliable sources, then share what you have learned.

The thing is knowledge is of no value unless you put it into practice. So, get to work and put your stamp on it.
