WORK IT OUT?
Hard work spotlights the character of people: some will turn up their sleeves, some will turn up their noses, and some don’t turn up at all. Sam Ewing
I am sure there have been some trying times in all our lives, and I am sure that quite a few of us have uttered that ole saying, “I’ve got to gain control of my life and get back on track,” or Why did this or that have to happen to me, has been heard all over the World.
As much as we want the plans we choose to work out, there are always plenty of ways for that not to happen. Leaving us to wonder why doors close, prayers go unanswered, and roads altered, creating detours. It’s simple, first seek God’s plan, and His will.
A good place to start is through obedience, prayer, and listening to the Holy Spirit. For a successful plan calls for us to be committed to his way. Romans 8:28 tells us For my thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor your ways My ways, declares the Lord.
And let’s not forget John 15:5: I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
With that in mind, often times in order to get our life back we have to face the death of what we thought our life would look like, coupled with almost everyone fails at who and what they are supposed to be at some point. And that I can agree with because most of us are just talking about um A-gonna do this or that. Most don’t even take into account when the plan has been laid out that action is required.
For me, doing nothing is hard because you never know when you are finished, and the hardest part about planning is not to quit because it’s difficult.
If we press we can live a life of success, that is if we are willing to obey God’s Will and live at the edge of our abilities. Which is another reason we should try to understand that some things don’t always go the way we thought they should be because, if it didn’t happen, it wasn’t meant to be, what is for you is for you, and my favorite That’s Life.
Just remember it’s okay if you don’t get what you were hoping for, just be aware of the fact that what we want is always harder than we thought, but all great achievements take time.
In my opinion, if you feel something wasn’t supposed to be in your life like physical harm, etc., personally I pray for a way to remove it, or move on. The fact of the matter is we all have to deal with the Good, the bad, and the ugly; standing still won’t cut the mustard.
There is another way to fix things instead of imagining, or wondering, coupled with guessing, is just to think about what you want to do then do it, which requires us to strengthen our Faith, and Breathe.
Did you know when we get it right there is an award? Yep, we get the opportunity to do more. I call that on The Road to Becoming a Pro.
Question: What if the worst parts of your life were the gateway to the very best parts you’d never want to be without? I bet you would find a way then.
