THIS TOO SHALL PASS.

As most of you know, what we were accustomed to has changed dramatically.  Just a couple of months ago, we were living a life that allowed us to move about freely. Well, that has changed, and we have been ordered to self-quarantine.

Now that our rights have been diminished, although temporary, do you still feel superior to others that are in the same boat as you are now?  Has your heart softened towards those not as fortunate as you?  Can you relate now to what other countries have endured since their existence?

Although some feel our rights are under assault, we still have what most don’t, freedom. The difference is there is a great deal we can do to reclaim them.

We can start with knowing, Just because we are on lockdown doesn’t mean our hopes and dreams are on lockdown with us. Get to work, especially on the things you never seem to have time for. Clean out the garage, address the clutter, etc. Use your imagination, it’s free.

Although we cannot stop natural disasters, we can arm ourselves with knowledge considering the situation we are presently in.  Bone-up, start reading information concerning respiratory problems and disaster preparedness but don’t forget to have fun and relax a little.

You do you, but I tend to lean on the side of caution.

When I was younger, we were faced with cholera, diphtheria, infectious tuberculosis, smallpox, measles, chickenpox, mumps, etc…. The thing is we got through it because of the precautions put in place when the virus was first detected and the use of common sense.

Did you know Science is nothing but trained and organized common sense?  Thomas Huxley

The bottom line is if everyone puts greed and foolishness aside, follow the guidelines given by Jesus Christ and the professionals, This Too Shall Pass.  It may pass like a kidney stone, but it will pass.

Go into your houses, my people, and shut the door behind you. Hide yourselves for a little while until God’s anger is over.   Isaiah 26:20 KJV

“Once this storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure whether the storm is really over. But one thing is for certain when you do come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person that walked in. This is what this storm is all about.” Haruko Murakami

Did you know God will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born?  Maybe that will be you reborn in the Name of Jesus Christ.

May we all be covered by the Precious Blood of Jesus, Thank you, Lord.

PUT YOUR BEST FOOT FORWARD!

PUT YOUR BEST FOOT FORWARD!

I use fashion as a tool, It’s the individual style that makes us stand out from all the rest, but I need you to understand before reading this is, the above statement does not mean live life above your means.  I have a budget.

With our know everything about everything selves, it’s easy for us self-made prophets to assume we know more about others than they know about themselves.  And we get our unique abilities from a variety of clues, one in particular, is when we like what we see.

Did you know the way we wear our clothes command the most attention?  I like Andre Mauroid’s quote about style, he said, Style is the hallmark of a temperament stamped on the material at hand?

Temperament is about how we feel about ourselves, and the clothes we choose reflect how we see ourselves.  As for me, I dress how I want to be addressed.

Our style is personal, and should not be under the influence of others, or to please others, Please Yourself while enjoying an All Eyes On Me Moment.

I have been in the world long enough to know Fashion never lasts for long, but our style is forever, and for your information, Fashion is what you buy, style is how you wear it?

I believe clothing was born to serve as a coat of armor to protect us when outside of our private space (home, zip code, etc.), plus our clothing gives us an air of elegance that reflects our current mood, attitude, and personality.

Hollywood designer Edith Head told us If you are a woman, your dress should be tight enough to show you are a woman and loose enough to show you’re a lady.  I agree.

I know there are more important things to spend money on than a dress, so save for shopping trips; just know sometimes this takes years.  The good thing is some trips are therapeutic when they happen, which proves it never hurt to try to improve ourselves by looking and smelling as good as possible.

My suggestion is for You To Do You, and just for the record looking your best also includes how we talk and treat others, and it won’t hurt to comb your hair and take your pajamas off before visiting our favorite stores like Walmart.

Pull those pants up, you know who you are, and ladies wintertime or any time is not a good look when you are out and about in flip flops, and it’s below freezing.  In my opinion, that’s just stupid.

Miuccia Prada said Fashion is today’s language.  That may be true because your shoes will probably be the first thing I notice and judge you by.

If you dress shabbily, most will remember you for being shabby, but if you dress well or impeccably, most will remember you for your style and embellish it.

With that said, we need to make sure when we are around others that we represent ourselves in a manner that will make the best impression of who and what we want others to see.  There were times when I felt as if my life depended on being well-dressed, especially for job interviews, or feeling the pressure of just trying to impress my peers.

Choose well, our choices reflect who we are, and Fashion is a part of that process being labeled as a Useful Tool.  Who knows you may just stand out one day and be noticed for how well you treat yourself?
