I WOULD RATHER…
Try not to become a man of success, rather try to become a man of value. Albert Einstein
I would rather meet my fate anywhere except someplace only a fool would tread, simply because I believe fools have a deep distrust for the truth, paired with a healthy respect for nurturing beliefs that aren’t true.
Fools make bad decisions like most of us, the difference is, they stick to knowing they are wrong.
Men may deny we conquered space, but only a fool would deny there is a Sun, a Moon, and the Truth; although fools will try to skirt around some of these well-received facts, the part about denying the truth is alarming simply because A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting its shoes on. Charles Spurgeon
I would rather figure out my own Motivations, Inspirations, and Goals, before I buy into another ‘s vision, dreams, or schemes all based on what I know to be fact.
What I want to know is why do we accept the ideas and ways of others long before our own?
I say show me the facts and sensibility of whatever it is, then we may talk. As a matter of fact, I would rather shoot myself in the foot and not feel the pain half as bad as I would if I allowed a fool to do it.
I would rather make the decision to try, knowing I may fail, at least I did more than just complain or give up. The truth is I would rather learn my lessons the first time than repeat the same mistakes over and over, like most of us do, coupled with some still don’t believe fat meat is greasy.
When it comes to me I would rather keep a budget than not, although am not really good at it, what I do know is… A budget tells us what we can’t afford, the thing is it doesn’t stop us from buying that thing, and just so you know, the Stock Market is selling stock, not advice.
Simply put, we make bad decisions mainly because of a lack of forethought, preparation, a poor education, and execution. Knowing this, I’d rather stay in school in order to learn how to handle all things in real life…
Some of life’s lessons taught me long ago that I should go it alone before I wait on someone else approval who is doing no better or far less than I, to begin my journey. So, there will be no waiting for others to give me the okay sign concerning my life.
FYI: Don’t get confused about going it alone, this is not healthy for everyday living. Remember No Man Is An Island.
I have ideas of my own, plus am clear on how I want my life to evolve, but I found most times I had to let go of some preconceived notions (your ideas or mine), and follow God’s Plan. So, I would rather live the life that is waiting for me, and the only approval I need comes from, Jesus Christ.
I would rather be on a self-imposed lockdown before I allow my peers to see Me as a mean vindictive old woman. I want my past successes coupled with joys to be used as a cushion for these old bones as old regrets fade away. So…
I would rather not entertain old pains or spend the energy to keep obsolete thoughts alive because It’s almost impossible to light a fire inside the charred heart of an old burned-out teacher. Dave Burgess
I would rather smile than have a scowl, and I would rather inspire than judge; it just makes sense too me.
I believe wearing a smile even in the worst of times will help get us more allies that will help our cause; I believe wearing a scowl is liken to wanting wrinkles’, and I believe judging the book by the cover is as dumb as claiming to know it all.
I don’t know about you but, I would rather know what’s in the book than stare at the cover or read the last chapter first. Just like in death, it’s the dots that tell the story. 1900….2000 In other words, what happened in the middle?
FYI: The trouble with most of us is we would rather be ruined by praise than saved by criticism. Meanwhile on the other side of the spectrum; If your action inspires others to learn more, dream more, do more and become more, you are a leader. John Quincy Adams
I’d rather be spiritual than religious because being religious mean you are trying not to go to hell while being spiritual means you have already been there.
I would rather be the best I can be, but first I need to figure out how can I help others. Did you know The best thing a person can be is of use? So…I’d rather attempt, To do something great and fail than attempt to do nothing and succeed. Robert H. Schuller
It’s time to take the chains off of who we would rather be and be that person we need to be, coupled with being confident in our own skin, especially when in pursuit of our personal goals. So I’d rather be a miracle worker or anything to make the glass half full.
Well, that sounds good but let’s keep it real, most of us are just average, and lazy.
I would rather see my uniqueness as more than just average, so I refuse to allow my gifts to be seen as flaws, but as a path to greatness because I would rather take those life lessons I learned and put them to use so I can move forward, while dragging a few you alone with me.
I believe with that type of confidence we all can gain control of what is for us, coupled with peace.
Never ever forget Our uniqueness is what sets us apart, it makes us who we are, the spice that makes us different from all the others?
At the end of life, I would rather be known as a fight for my life person than a bully, it’s simple, sometimes the clown gets tired of being picked on, and we know when that happens nothing is going to end well, and just so you know, bullies can only be found where there are cowards.
Now that that’s said, being bullied is not one of my favorite things to happen, but, I’d rather still be a peacemaker than show you (whoop your assets) I am not as weak as I look or you thought, I just know The battle is not mine it’s the Lord’s.
Did you know The worst bully you will ever encounter in your life is your own thoughts?
So again, when it comes to being bullied, I would rather take action to Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one’s definition of your life; define yourself.
