THE CONSCIENCE! FRIEND OR FOE?
Necessity is blind until it becomes conscious, freedom is the consciousness or necessary.
Consciousness, the highest court that even supersedes the Courts of Justice. When we are conscious we are awake to our surroundings; alert and responsive. In other words, we have knowledge of something.
War is Hell but our Conscience is worst if you happen to have a Guilty one. Our Conscience job is simple, it acts as a guide that directly affects one’s behavior and emotions. It’s more of a moral sense likened to an inner voice in my opinion.
Now don’t get me wrong when I speak of an inner voice, I’m not talking about what a little birdie told you; I find those birds more than a little suspect, plus it’s something I don’t understand, and am certainly not going to entertain that old wore out excuse for not listening to ourselves/heart; I should have followed my first mind, as if we have two. DUH!
Robert Hall tells us, In matters of conscience, first thoughts are best. In matters of prudence (discretion), last thoughts are best. Did you know that Discretion is recognizing and avoiding words, actions, and attitudes that could bring undesirable consequences?
Most times we are right about that fleeting first thought, we just don’t react to it, the thing is, there is also a gut-feeling; Careful with that one, especially if that’s all you rely on; it can be the source of your failures. Our conscience also helps to set the standards; ethics, principles, our scruples etc… In other words, Your Conscience makes you aware of your actions.
Because our conscience makes us aware, it’s the very reason our intentional bad decisions can saturate our thoughts with nothing short of pure misery until we justify some type of wrong; most times this is what causes some of us to admit, My conscience is bothering the hell out of me…
At that point, we need to understand that a man’s conscience is his security that serves as a moral warning. But, we are who we are so not all warnings will stop us…
Make no mistake about it, the Conscience is a powerful weapon or it can be your best ally; that is if you listen and act with a clean heart. In plain English, whatever you and your conscience decide for better or worse, you’re hashing it out with yourself. You’re all alone when it comes to The Conscience, and what happens next all depends on where your Conscience Spirit lies.
FYI; That which you call your soul or spirit is your consciousness and that which you call ‘free will’ is your mind’s freedom to think or not, a choice that controls all the choices you make that also determines your life and your character.
Just in case you’re not a bonafide devil or devillet, listen up. Did you know if you have just a little heart, (feelings) and your hatred still rule the day, your conscience will give you a moral beating that will be more than you can bear? When the heart knows better it can be very painful to the mind.
A hurting heart, whose conscience is also being tortured (feeling guilt) is one of the worst experiences one can have coupled with not knowing how to recover from it. These are some of the very things that can lead to suicide.
When are Conscience is in full force, there is no peace, nowhere to hide, and its all hidden inside paired with it will only get worse if we let that troubling thing go unchecked. An evil spirit, a lie told an ill will, anything hateful, stolen, fabricated, etc., can and will wage a full-out assault on our inner peace, until we make peace with our Conscience Being.
When it comes to our conscience, as in most things, healing is a matter of time, but sometimes it calls for an opportunity. Take it if you’re blessed with one, don’t stand in your own way, get on the improvement bandwagon. And don’t worry about the old ways watching you, they will be the ones you come back to teach, (friends, family, etc.), change your heart free your conscience.
‘Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but they whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves their conduct, will pursue their principles unto death. Thomas Paine
In other words, Your conscience, Friend or Foe, will rule the direction of your life.
