BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS?
Vincent J. Lombardi once said, The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will. Lombardi’s counterpart Bear Bryant added; There is a lot of blood, sweat, and guts between dreams and success.
I bet am not the only that can say Amen to that.
I believe there is a lot said in those motivational quotes, but what was not said was at times success is just the Luck of the Draw, or perhaps we missed our chance because of stupidity or otherworldly setbacks. You know we are known for getting in our own way; in any event, the #1 Killer of Success is A Lack Of Faith. But there is another way to win, and it’s simple, all you have to be is that person God and other people want to see succeed.
Nothing is easy, especially success, which also comes with a price and that price is not always rewarded, and oftentimes our best works are not appreciated. It is what it is.
I believe B.C. Forbes when he said, A man who has done his level best is a success, even though the world may write him down as a failure. It’s best to keep that in mind for most know, the world is not our friend.
So, if and when we find and dedicated ourselves to becoming a successful person, the work begins with Perseverance, which is needed to stay the course in spite of all the difficulties, and with that strength comes not only endurance, but a resolve that gives us the fighting spirit to withstand all levels of stress coupled with fatigue, pain, and hardships.
It takes a strong person to gain success in this dog eat dog world, so I pray for courage, fortitude and the blessings promised from God, coupled with I know I can’t do it alone.
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abide in me, and I in him, the same bring forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (John 15:5) In other words, we need to call on The Name of the Lord for Success.
After years of trial and error, I found by putting God first is a sure way to move up the ladder, coupled with prayers.
To my knowledge, Praying is the best way to get God’s attention and that may bring about an array of blessings in which one of them could be the success we have been seeking… But, there is always a price for that glory, and it is to do unto others, what you would want to be done unto you.
Everything in and out of this world belongs to God, and He has given us an array of earthy perks, but God is still God and he is going to judge us all, so if he chooses to or not to deliver success, may depend on how much we are willing to give in order to gain.
FYI: God gives givers as much as they are willing to give, so if that’s you, you will never run out of things to give, and since you will never run out, you will always have. It makes sense to me, so I am telling you, the greatest gift you can give is a piece of yourself. That’s my story and am sticking to it because few things that are gained are not without sacrifices.
But just in case you didn’t know, failure coupled with sacrifices is what success is made of, and perfection is doing something over and over to gain consistency.
We have to have control of ourselves while enduring the worse of the worse, often begging for anything motivational to be said or done to help our cause, while still trying to hold unto enthusiasm for dear life. It’s a workload but not impossible; if it were impossible, I believe we would have never known success in the first place.
That one small break we are looking for may not be here yet, but we are closer than we were yesterday. So, pat yourself on the back if you are making wholesome decisions about others, and doing as Jesus would by not stepping on the toes of others while climbing the ladder to success in order to achieve personal desires.
In my opinion, it is better to try and fail than wonder the rest of your life what you could, should, or would have been, so you had better get to work, the clock is ticking. And instead of defeating ourselves with statements like if only I were a success, dream again, only this time put more effort into making it happen through Jesus Christ, Our Lord, and Savior.
As for me, and some others, am sure some of us has said, although in different forms, I don’t care what’s probable. Through blood, sweat, and tears, I am unstoppable.
It’s Something To Think About!
Thank You, Lord for all you do, and we know all is yours to give. It is in Jesus name that we pray. Amen
