THAT OTHER SPAM?

Back in the day, we understood Spam to be a canned food product consisting of pork formed into a solid block.  Today, spam is still spam; processed white pig meat, the thing is, now it shares its name with one of the biggest distractions the world is getting to know all too well.  A bombardment of unsolicited information.  Spam!

Now when I hear that word I no longer think of cheap meat; only the delete button comes to mind coupled with a few choice words.  These days the word spam has morphed into a variety of disruptive online messages posted on a computer network or sent via email, and they are mostly irrelevant or misdirected.  A nice way of saying they are a pain in the backside.

The other thing is, that’s not the only spam that has to go.

Money is spam if it’s just sitting in an account piling up instead of helping out.  Cell phones are spam if you never turn them off.  Drama is spam, “Most people claim to avoid it, yet so many of us unknowingly create it in our lives as well as in the lives of others.”

Take for instance those unflattering images in some of our minds that are based on some reality we have experienced that’s not worth repeating.  Yep, it’s all spam, and the very bait the Devil uses on his phishing trips.

Now don’t get it twisted, all spam is not bad, the point is who needs spam not worth repeating especially when we have the ability to capture the positives in thought, word, and images in our head while internalizing the good and spitting out the bad?

There is so much information on The World Wide Web that the degree of deceitfulness embedded in its spam is astonishing.  Some of those Ads are so convincing we embrace their purpose often conjuring up all kinds of images or feelings unworthy of our true selves and God’s purpose for our life.  Because of Fake News, we think everything and everybody is out to get us.

The Bible warns about the power of the tongue and I perceive it to include written words.  It tells us in Proverbs 18:21 KJV  Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.  In other words, you reap what you sow.  And it tells us to Guard our heart with all diligence; for out of it comes the issues of life.  Proverbs 4:23 KJV

In real life am not a fan of anything playing out in my head that includes blood, guts, and vomit, so I do my best to stay away from those negative environments that spew spam by way of radio, television, books, newspapers, the computer or normal conversion, and that includes the most toxic of them all; unproven information (talk) generated from the streets.

With all this fast-paced, too much information for my world, I stopped letting spam rent space in my head.  The dividends don’t amount to anything but a lot of Hell.  Get off that computer, pick up the Bible, use your talents so you won’t forget how to.  Use it or lose is a reality.

I suggest we all take a break and stop looking for drama, clear our mind, and quit giving priorities to email, Facebook, or whatever.  Those time-consuming, sit on your butt all day things can wait, let those that are in your face (the living) be your priority.

Filling our head with spam (propaganda) is a good way to have it hijacked.  All this unwanted information cluttering our minds and heart should be sent straight to the trash bin especially when using our personal computers that someone or some Thing is constantly trying to hack.

Did you know the real Computer is the Human Brain?  And we all just happen to have one, even if some are brain-dead, it’s free and a Gift from God?  I depend on mine with God’s help to make the right decisions, not my P. C.; it has a tendency to crash at the most inconvenient times, plus it doesn’t have a heart?

When it comes to spam we may have to look Outside the Box to get the toxicity out of our lives while making sure our thoughts are wholesome and can be added to our favorites.  We have the power to rise above the Spam that is constantly vying for our attention while using up all our storage space (time), send it all to the trash bin, better yet, permanently delete all malicious and distorted information on your hard drive and in your head, then update your heart, mind, and soul, moving them to a safe site.  The Arms of Jesus will do.

It’s not impossible to rid ourselves of most of the untruths we deal with on a daily basis, that is if you love and abide by the Laws of Our Lord and Savior.  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.  Philippians 4:13  KJV

We can start by thinking for ourselves in order to stop Fake News; the New Norm, and we can stop taking a blind eye to crime, we can quit giving money to thieving charities; give it to a Bible Believing Bible Teaching Church, and we can stop brain-washing ourselves.  Another way to help is to quit wasting time reposting the already repetitive posts that contain nothing but ill will.

If it’s not positive it’s spam designed to create nothing short of a disaster.  Beware of propaganda that Belittles Christianity while promoting personal attacks, it’s spam tooNegative information, in my opinion, is all spam with no other purpose than to keep us busy with Spreading Demon like Viruses, nicknamed The Devil; I call him Satan.

REGRET!

Contacts can be found at the end of each post and sharing is encouraged.

REGRET!

Regret, the granddaddy of them all and the fastest way to be and stay miserable.  There are few emotions as unnerving as a regret because it is a feeling of loss, disappointment, dissatisfaction, sorrow or remorse for fault.

This is one emotion we should avoid at all cost, and at its worst, regret leaves us in a dark place with our self-imposed grief; I should not have done this or that, instead, I should have…?

The two saddest comments, in my opinion, are It Might Have Been and, If Only!

Then again regret has a finer quality which can be used in a polite manner such as a formal refusal to an invitation.  I regret I am unable to accept your invitation or attend some function…  The key to the refusal is to be honest so as not to regret your excuse if making one.  Better yet, no excuse is needed unless of course, you’re lying, which you may regret in the future, so don’t it twisted.

Just so you know it is not required that we expose all of our business to whomever just because we need a day or two off work or for some other obligations… Things Happen!.

We all get into our feelings at times but wasting time on emotions like longing for the impossible, hanging on to nostalgia for whatever was; desire for what never was, worries, grudges, anger, and regret are all Life Killers.  The very reason we cannot allow ourselves to be overshadowed by any of them.

It seems as if, it’s the Way of the World that the things we love most may be taken from us at some point, and we will always do things we wish we could undo.  But am telling you we don’t have to be defined by those things.  Whatever we did or did not do, Jesus Christ offers forgiveness if only we ask.

The Bible tells us 21 different times, if not more, He’ll do it.  Read it for yourself, a good starting place is Matthew 7:7 or Luke 11:7 KJV.

Most of us regret the pain we caused others, some could care less.  Then there are those of us who regret some simple decisions we made such as not saying I Love You enough, especially when that person has gone from us. (Death, etc.)  Some feel bad when they have prevented others from doing as well as they could have because of some silly thing, or they just didn’t know they were harmful.  Yes, that does happen, so don’t get it twisted.

Did you know the decisions we make are the root cause of most of our regrets; it’s those decisions that can and will effect others possibly for the rest of their lives; ours too.  Just another reason to protect ourselves from our own actions and mouth, if not those decisions can disable us in spirit as well as physically.  (Soul and Health)  We will reap what we sow, oftentimes living long enough to regret it.

We cannot allow ourselves to be buried by regret, that’s why we must ask for forgiveness and have the ability to forgive if not there is plenty of room for regret to claim your life as its own.

As humans, we probably have thrown away some important things when we were ignorant of their worth, and as humans, we will always regret some other decisions we didn’t think through or investigate.  Get over it, not everything is going to be perfect.

We learn from our mistakes, besides we can’t retract them although we may try to correct them, still what is done is done and no matter how hard we may try to find the reason or answers to why it still is what it is.  Perhaps there are no answers for some, but if you procrastinate, (prolong or postpone) more than likely you will create more regrets than Wal-Mart have over the counter pills.

When we procrastinate, especially when it’s something that requires immediate attention, most times after it’s all said and done we regret that laziness that cost us way too much.  Don’t let that be you because all roads untraveled can lead to becoming a prisoner of regret.

The world is what it is and we can’t always get away unscathed.  Jim Rohn may have hit the nail on the head when he said “We all must suffer one of two things: The pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment.

Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross for our sins, but today far too many of us Crucify ourselves between two thieves-regret for the past and fear of the future.  Fulton Oursler

Just so you know, when we are at that point in life, we do have a choice, we can look back at our life full of regret and pain or move forward with life’s uncertainties with the Blessing of Jesus Christ to guide our path.  That is if you know Him.

Those trials and their counterparts can be reduced if we do not speak when angry.  It is known that when We are angry, we are capable of making the best speech we will ever regret.  What you need to know is Your salvation in this human world lies nowhere else than in the human heart.  Vaclav Havre.

Don’t you get it?  The Heart is where Jesus Christ should be living, not our regrets.  Can I get an Amen?
