I found one sure way to get smarter is to hang around those who are smarter than you.
What about bonding with the first in the family to go to college, that’s a reasonable example? Shoot, who am I kidding? anyone who is willing to teach would be an asset that works for me; besides some people don’t have family or much of anything else. Another reason is to get outside of your own zip code and go meet some people and learn from those worth it.
I found most can do it, you’re just as smart or more than the rest, just stop telling yourself you’re not.
Careful now I found that there are plenty of smart people who don’t go anywhere. Maybe they have too much invested in providing what they know while trying to not look stupid.
Get yourself together because a lack of confidence will ruin any day, so look to those especially Jesus Christ that are further up the learning tree than you in hopes it will motivate us to do and be better.
Now, I know you know everybody that’s considered smart may not have common sense, which is a must, so choose who you listen to and believe in, carefully. The Devil is prowling the land like a roaring lion coming to devour us.
I found confidence is the faith that leads to achievement, and nothing can be achieved without it or hope. And I found the most pressing task there is, is to learn for yourself coupled with trying to teach it to others.
Most know it’s not such a great idea too put all your friendships, hopes, dreams, opinions, etc. into one basket, Diversify.
Spread the wealth, travel the land when you can; the more exposure the more knowledge. More importantly, it doesn’t matter how smart you are if jealousy rules your life.
I found one of the best things we can do for ourselves is to never underestimate the destructive powers of jealousy and envy. Anyway, those two will have you counting someone else blessings instead of your own.
FYI: Jealousy is a symptom of neurotic insecurities, liken to mental cancer waiting to eat you up.
I found when I become opinionated about someone I have just laid eyes on and determine I don’t like them, we usually end up being best friends. These people may be the stepping stone that will bring us to greatness; I know some of you have looked at a person for the first time and immediately didn’t like them, just keep in mind that you never know when you may meet Jesus Christ or his buddies.
It can happen, coupled with bigger and brighter outcomes; that is if we seek knowledge instead of listening to a lying tongue, coupled with trying to make sense of something we see with deceitful eyes.
I found our assumptions are the window to the world. Isaac Asimov tells us we should scrub them off every once in a while, or the light won’t come in. Don’t let your opinion about what you don’t know be your downfall, go say hi.
If you live long enough, eventually you’ll learn you don’t need the skills of others to fit your agenda; you have your own set of tools manufactured just for you, and they will take you as far as your will, will allow.
I found our destiny is wherever our imagination will take us.
When we take a responsible route to advance ourselves it put us in a better place to benefit others by sharing that knowledge. Just know you can’t teach if you don’t know and be mindful of You are only as smart as your teacher, so when they have taught you all they know, move on; there is so much more to learn, just with a new teacher. Now you know.
I found the Test of a good teacher is not how many questions he can ask his pupils they will answer readily, but how many questions he inspires them to ask him which he finds hard to answer. Alice W. Rollins
I also found that as my life changes, and I am influenced by credible people, they give me new subjects to write about, live by, and understand better. Read the rest of this entry »
