A Black History Salute and Tribute to my late grandmother Lecester L. Cherry, Matriarch of the Cherry Family Legacy.
As a young woman Mrs. Cherry sang in the choir and served on the Usher Board, but primarily she organized the Missionary Departments for numerous churches. And she held every position in the Missionary Department, including Supervisor of the Buds of Promise.
Mrs. Cherry was made District Missionary Supervisor of the Opelika District, which included areas of Georgia and Alabama.
