GIVE ME MY FLOWERS?
The clock has been ticking down on my life for quite some time now, and I am still wondering why is it so hard to praise those that have at least a few perfect gifts; like being kind, supportive, helpful, caring, concerned, a team player, etc…
We all have crossed paths with people from all walks of life and some of them traveled with us, but it seems as if in my world, the only stories we share are the ones full of gloom and doom. Some folks love having a pity party.
From experience alone, I know there are plenty of grace stories that we can pull up from the road of life that deserves to be appreciated, which has me wondering why don’t we Praise God more often? Some say they do all day long, the problem for me is when they do is it after getting through a hard time or something worst.
Where is the praise when it was just a good day?
While Praising and Thanking God; which is mostly about asking for something; if this is not you step back. I just want to know why don’t we elaborate on the good times with as much vigor and details as we do when things are going badly?
Oh, I understand; I wouldn’t tell too many people my business either. It’s a known fact that jealousy and coveting, including things I choose not to name, are running rampant these days, coupled with the means to carry evil to a whole new level.
Let’s blame it on The New Norm; The World full of scared and secretive people, causing most good news to be far and in-between.
It is what it is and everyone won’t get a ticker tape parade because of it, even when they have accomplished something special, it’s the regular guys I am talking about, you know them; me our friends and family, someone down the street or who we met in passing. Why don’t we praise these living beings more often for the small things that are huge, like their character?
In order to lift ourselves and others up, we must interact with each other fairly, and as we all know a little pat on the back never hurt. We have to do what we can when we can every chance we get because the Bible says: Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. James 4:14 KJV
Since I am still here, some things have me baffled, for instance, why do we get together and feast in the presence of the dead, knowing they can’t participate or hear us? This is not a fight, I just think we have it backward. You have your opinions and am just speaking up about mine. But…
Because of these types of questions, I now understand and believe the meaning of Give Me My Flowers Here On Earth.
It’s Something To Think About!
