CANCER, FROM THE HEART!
We may never understand the reasons for our particular trials this side of eternity, but one thing is clear and it is written in Roman 8:28; We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called to his purpose. KJV
For those of us who have survived cancer maybe we were called to understand this disease and conquer it while being an inspiration to others.
When I first read the poem, What Cancer Cannot Do, it left me with an odd feeling that something was missing, shortly afterwards found myself dissecting each verse for a better understanding of why Cancer is so limited it can’t cripple love, or shatter hope, corrode faith, eat away peace, destroy confidence, kill friendships, shut out memories, silence courage, reduce eternal life or quench the spirit.
The more I thought about my life and its meaning, the more I understood just how limited Cancer really is, and as far as cancer crippling love, most know relationships don’t last because of the good times, they last because of love, respect and caring, coupled with the healing spirit we received from God that glues us together in any time.
Cancer cannot shatter hope. No one I know plans to live a hopeless life.
Hope is a feeling we have that the feeling we have is not permanent. And sometimes hope is all we have when we have nothing else. But, if you do have hope, you have everything.
It’s Something To Think About!
Cancer cannot corrode Faith. I know Faith has the ability to go far beyond what the eyes can see, so focus on the fight, not the fright.
I am living proof that no matter what the statistics say, there is always a way. So, when you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on, because our seeds of faith are always within us. Sometimes it just takes a crisis to nourish and encourage their growth, so if we feed our faith, through Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ our fears will starve to death.
Cancer cannot eat away peace. And peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by desire, knowledge, and an understanding of the process.
So, no matter what havoc cancer may wreak on our bodies, it does not have the final say, because if God doesn’t take cancer out of us on earth; He will take us out of cancer and home to heaven. Craig T Owens
Cancer cannot destroy confidence. Confidence is the foundation of all success and achievements, so be confident that cancer is not a death sentence; cancer requires the power of the Holy Spirit, not the tongue. Strength, courage, and confidence are gained by every experience in which we stop to look fear in the face. Eleanor Roosevelt
Help yourself by being humble in your confidence yet courageous in your fight, and remember confidence is feeling good about yourself without anyone having to tell you how beautiful or brave you are.
Cancer cannot kill friendships. When someone has cancer, everyone that loves them has cancer too, especially our friends who have a powerful impact on us when we are living with the troubles of the world.
So if you are a friend, you should know that friends don’t let friends do cancer alone, therefore, don’t miss your opportunity to reach out.
Just so you know; some friends can’t manage their own fears so they may be unable to support you. We just need to understand if that was to happen it’s not always about you.
Cancer cannot shut out memories. Only you can attempt to shut your mind down, so if it is your choice to shutout what once was, take heed because that action allows depression to strengthen its hold, and just in case you are not brain-dead, take into consideration The mind is like a care battery-it recharges by running. Bill Watterson
Cancer cannot silence courage. Courage is moving forward, not a disease when we fear what’s ahead. Courage involves moving and doing as long as you can and then taking another step.
With Jesus Christ, you are stronger than your struggles and fiercer than your fears.
By developing discipline and strength to move beyond any setbacks, you will gain the courage to embrace who you are and your divine purpose.
Cancer cannot reduce Eternal Life. We are eternal beings and we that love God will never die.
Christians sometimes make themselves into elephants afraid of mice.
You have the Creator on your side; not to mention, you’ve been given Eternal Life. “So, whom or what shall you fear?” To be afraid of death or anything other than God himself, in my opinion, is an insult to Him. Criss Jami
Cancer cannot quench the Spirit. The word quench in Scripture is speaking of suppressing the fire.
When Christians put on the Shield of Faith, as a part of their Armor of God, we can extinguish the fiery powers of Satan.
Ephesians 6:16 tells us, Above all, taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
I Believe what is written in the Bible as the Gospel Truth and I believe because I believe in Jesus Christ is the reason I am alive today.
I am not trying to take anything away from the seriousness of cancer, but I found the best way to cope is to treat it just like you would any other setback; it’s just another part of life you will have to deal with.
And that leaves us with Something else to think about!
