LOVE, HATE, AND FAKES?
The Bible tells us to love our neighbors, and to also love our enemies; probably because our enemies are the same people. G. K. Chesterton
Friends are people who are on good terms with each other, such as a patron, or supporters that are attached to one another by feelings or personal regard, next door neighbors. In other words, they genuinely like each other. But some say our friends could be our worst enemies, and in some cases, that’s true, but I also found them to be the reason I learned my most valuable lessons; The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.
We can be on guard against our enemies, but it will take God to delivered us from a friend. Charlotte Bronte
Just to stay on the safe side I believe we should be aware of any friend that turned into an enemy, they could have been hating on you from the beginning, and only God knows why. Oh! By the way, the best way to keep your secrets from your enemies is to stop telling your business.
Enemies are people who feel hatred for, fosters harmful designs against, or engages in antagonistic activities against another; an adversary or opponent. Perhaps The Devil himself.
A man who hath friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that stick closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24
FYI: If we want to know what the enemy look like, first check to see if he resembles you. It is a man’s own mind, not his enemy or foe, that lures him into evil ways. Buddha
I found it’s easy to find where a person stands as a friend, just have a bad day.
Misfortune tests a friend and detects enemies, and I found most friends have the same enemy. Well, good for them, but I’ll do my own assessments. Sorry, I choose for myself and I can’t hate another because my friend does, but I will be cautious; I know friends come and go, and enemies accumulate.
Do not repay evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 1st Peter 3:9
A Frenemy (fake) is a person or group that is friendly toward another because the relationship brings benefits, but harbors feelings or resentment including rivalry. A fake is a person that makes themselves as attractive as possible, in any aspect, to trick or deceive.
Since the word frenemy is new, I also understand it to mean, a person disguised as a friend who is not interested in keeping your best interest at heart, but you wouldn’t know they despise you or know that they are saying and doing you wrong, behind your back.
Our false friends are like our shadow, keeping close to us while we walk in the sunshine, but leaving us the instance we cross into the shade. Christen Nestell Bovee
Okay, I have to admit, Frenemies give us one advantage: It gives good reasons to appreciate good friends. 🙂
I would suggest in order to protect ourselves from these predators, we invest in the people we know will feed us just as much goodness as we do them because The man of God is competent, equipped for every good work. 2nd Timothy 3:17 Are you?
It’s Something To Think About!
