THE ANYTHINGER’S?

Contacts can be made at the bottom of each post, and sharing is encouraged.

I’LL DO ANYTHING FOR YOU?

When a person, close or not, tells me I’ll do anything for you, I wonder what’s wrong with that promise?  Everything, first of all, you cannot make one hair white or black, (Matthew 5:36) let alone do all things for anyone.

The I’ll do anything part is too vague and that makes me jittery causing my guard to go way up.  Even when we are outside of The Family Circle, our loved ones will proclaim blood is thicker, while every opportunity is taken to remind us of how far they will go because they love us.

If you ever hear me saying those five words we must be joined at the hips, (special) other than that am lying and the truth is not in me.  Most times that promise is nothing more than a ploy to make us look good or more than we really are, and oftentimes setting others up for future use.

The trouble is when we ask the I’ll do anythinger’s for that sacrifice they promised at any cost, it seems as if they do more than just come up short, often they have told a blatant lie intentionally.  The sad part is most of us don’t realize the I will do part was just a jester to show concern.  Besides, some of us really don’t like anyone interrupting our day for a favor.

It’s my opinion, and am sure you have yours.

Sometimes we are so gullible our vanity is suitable only to the needs of Satan, and most of our selfishness stems from the word Conditions.  With an arsenal of small print at our side, The Sky Is the Limit or Hell is a deeper hole than we thought?

When it comes to conditions, smart people know they can do nothing without Christ, and when it comes to those who will do anything for you, they need to know they cant do anything without Christ either. ( John 15:5)  Plus, the Anythinger’s may have conditions that will test your friendship, but don’t sweat it, we already know that whatever is Not of God, will fail in His own time, not yours.

Just like the Lord gives he also can and will take away; One of His takeaway conditions is when we add our own set of conditions into the Commandments.

I know because I use to be an I’ll Do Anythinger.   🙂

There was a time if I pledged to do something, I guarantee you it wasn’t that important to me, or I didn’t give it a thought at allOften it was just something to say to get you out of my face.  But The Anythinger is so into our needs I should have recognized long ago there may be strings attached to such devotion. (You remember when I…?)

The thing that gets me is when asking for a favor and the Anythinger agrees to help, the next thing to come out of their mouth is Okay, but you owe me one.  I am not innocent I was guilty of using that phrase too.  Even when it came time for me to be a Woman of my words, the conditions, may change; That spur of the moment thing.

Now that I know better, I’ll do anything for you is a wake-up call for, Okay!  I’ll do it if you give me something in return.  Trial and error taught me how to lose that self-serving attitude; or else.  🙂  Experience taught me kindness was free, and that’s where my Blessings would lie.

These days when asking for a favor, I simply offer to pay, it’s easier, and that way it leaves the door open.  And if you don’t have any money just say so, at least you have taken some of the drama out of the request.

People are going to do what they choose, and we only need to worry about our actions, maybe later others will see the advantages of not playing tit for tat, and truly do all they can because they can.

FYI: Some of us give back naturally, that’s who we are, and some may have missed their Blessing because they are trying to conjure them up, but just so you know, we may need help from time to time, but that doesn’t always mean we are down and out.

The Bible say it is better to give than receive, so don’t play with God, if you are giving to get, keep Jesus out of it.  He did not promise he would give to you if you give to others.  Simply put, God promised if you are generous, He will give you more to be generous with.  Luke 6:38

Plus, we will see how much of ourselves we will give or gave at our appropriate time, you know God hears all those promises and He may call you out on some of them.

Do something, but don’t get it twisted, an Anythinger is not capable of Everything.  That job belongs to Jesus Christ.
