Time and health are two precious assets that we don’t recognize and appreciate until they have been depleted.  Denis Waitley

We don’t have “All the time in the World,” as some will find out the wasted way, and the dead won’t hear the chatter when it is said over a coffin.  (“They left here before their time.”)  Get Real, our time is up when God says it’s up, not the world.

Perhaps the dearly departed left here before they performed what they were put on Earth to do in the time allotted by God.  If so, that statement may have read, they wasted their time while here.  That’s just my opinion, and I based most of it on there were plenty of times when I felt as if I knew what to do, and didn’t, just to later regret it because I wasted my time, and knew it.

I have been called an Old Foggie more than I care to admit, but as long as it’s because of principles and some antiquated ideas that work, am alright.  And since I have been on this earth long enough to have some clout, I just want to say, There is only one way to get old, and that is to live.

The problem is the young think because they are young they know more, and time is not a factor.  “How Stupid It That?”

Someone needs to tell these children aging brings about an education that reeks of wisdom.

My favorite part is when the young think they will be young longer than they will be old, and that’s contingent on if they live long enough; you do the Math.

Some Old People when they were young, was living as if nothing matters but them, and now that they have aged, they’re mad, and often asking themselves why no one wants to come around as if they don’t know.

Young people need to understand their life begins to seriously develop long before they are old enough to make their own decisions, pay for them, and make a difference.  Time waits for no one.

Some say healthy foods are for Old People because we need all the preservatives we can get.  So most have jokes until they reach that point in their lives; that is if they are lucky enough to live long enough.  We all know things change as we age, and that word luck turns into to the word blessing the longer we live.  And that’s just about the time some people start to realize the aging process has the upper hand and they are Unprepared.

Then there are those who say older people need to act their age, I agree.  Some elders try to take on a youthful attitude and appearance that is not flattering to their age, coupled with some actions that are not complimentary either.  Most say the aging are stuck in a time warp; wasting what time they have left attempting to hold on to what once was.

I believe as long as I am alive the good times has yet to come, and I know at times that can take a while.  Tennessee Williams said Time is the longest distance between two places.  And some of us know anticipation will make us wait like a child waiting for Santa.

The thing about this old woman is, I feel like a young woman because am excited about life When we are void of a healthy mind and body it’s easy to act, look and feel older than our years, especially when our muscles have declined for lack of use, not age.  How we feel and live has a lot to do with how we interact with others, unless you are A Meanie.

A Meanie, according to my personal dictionary is an old person that is unhappy with themselves, and the way they lived their life, so they take their bitterness out on the young.  Our youth don’t stand a chance when in contact with some of our Mean … Seniors.

Pain has a lot to do with their attitudes, but most times the problem is they are unhappy with life because they wasted most of their own, coupled with jealousy, and now they’re mad at the youth and anything vibrant.

It’s sad to know some of our Seniors feel the youth should endure their wrath quietly because of age.  I wonder if their aging brain forgot about Respect also has to be given?

I was born before my time is just another excuseHave you ever thought the thing you put most of your time into was not meant for you?  Plus, did you know In the Eyes of God, you were born exactly when he wanted you to be born.   Not taking advantage of that is what happened, not the time of your birth.

Often when we don’t live up to our own expectations and are aware of the fact that we can do better, but still continue to live an unproductive and angry life instead of doing something about it.  Nothing will change until we take responsibility for our actions.  Young or old, if our decisions cause our unhappiness, demanding respect by terrifying others will not solve the problem, move on or get it right.  It Is What It Is!

I promised myself that if I live long enough to become a senior citizen, I would not be a mean vindictive old woman, mad at the world because of the life I was given and may have squandered away.  Being stuck in our ways, bad or good can create some unwanted episode.  Coveting others is one of them, something we do instead of living our own lives, plus it’s not a good look for anyone.

As an older person, I work hard to move with ease, you should try it instead of claiming you’re too old.  I find youthful exuberance when I exercise, it puts a spring in my step because of a regular routine, not because am more blessed.

I am healthy because I work at being healthy.  And I don’t exercise because I put on weight, I exercise because I care about me, a habit I started in Elementary School and never stopped.

It’s so good I couldn’t stop, another excuse that causes us to age.  (Eating too much, taking drugs, etc.)  Not me, and that includes anything detrimental to me.  (Men, women, and things.)   It’s simple, if you can’t stop something that is harmful to you, you are not in control of yourself, and if you are an old person giving advice about things you don’t practice, quit.

Some say it’s not that easy for them, me either, I do it anyway, not necessarily because am strong, but because it’s embedded.  Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.   Proverbs 22:6  KJV

It’s never too late to try, so I don’t use excuses especially when being mean for no reason, now I just say excuse me for whatever.  I lived my life the way most do, My Way, but I don’t take my mistakes out on others.  I found when people like you, it makes for an easier life when age is at the forefront.

Attitude and associating with young people can affect how old people feel; up to date and youthful in most cases.  And it can affect how we treat others; Being a meanie coupled with a lack of exercise will make us miserable.  What’s best for the old and young is to forgive ourselves for whatever reason we didn’t do this or that and move on to the next season, that is if we live long enough to get old enough to do that.

Physical activity, Mental stimulation and a Healthy diet is the key to a Youthful Old and happy aging process, coupled with Grace and the Love of God is how we get there.  Being a Meanie is a living Hell before you get to Hell, and just for the record, I believe there is a Land where we will Never Grow Old.

Get off of me crab, not only do we know who you are by your actions, we know we rise by lifting others up.  It’s simple, a crab-like mentally is a form of failure, just like A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.  Proverbs 18:7 (KJV)

He or she who has a crab-like mentality has a type of affliction that causes them to commit to not allowing others to get out of a situation or get ahead. They are selfish and short-sighted thinkers and the ones who believe If I can’t have it, neither can you.

Search your soul and if the shoe doesn’t fit don’t fret, but if you have a crab-like mentality that can mean several things and none of them are good.

Most say they would like to see their friends get ahead, but not too far ahead is what they don’t say.  What’s important to know is, we have an advantage over the people who try to bring us down and that’s, they are already beneath us because of Jesus Christ.

If you listen carefully to what he says (God) and do all that I say, (Jesus Christ) I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you.  Exodus 23:22

When it comes to interfering with the capability of others coupled with what, when and how they do things that don’t concern us can often be our biggest downfall.  Most times when people do things the rest of us do not understand or can’t substantiate leaning to our own brand of reasoning we feel as if we have the right to interfere.

Perhaps we are not to know.  Who said all information is good information?  When dealing with others the odds may not be in our favor especially when we try to manipulate someone else life.  Perhaps we should take into consideration some others business or life can create problems not meant for us?

Stay in your life.  The Blog post Mind Your Own Business speak about this very thing.  (Posted 06/22/2024 )  So, Get Off Me Crab!  I can barely handle my life with its shortcomings ever-present, let alone someone else; Who has time for that?

The one’s destined to fail, it seems as if they do their best to make sure others fail.

Crabbers will work overtime to achieve the worst possible outcome for their peers, all because of their own inability to do what’s best for themselves.  (For my opinion on this subject read You Do You! 11/03/2016)

Oh!  Did I mention you could lose your life if it’s delegated to pushing others down instead of working on pulling you up?  But, if you prefer to push down opposed to pulling up I sincerely pray you Survive what you have sown.

Spending our time hoping to upset someone else balance or just nosy, throws us off of center.  We don’t have time for our own success when we are too busy trying to manipulate the non-success of others.   I just want to know who died and made them crabbers God?

Some actually believe we should all suffer the same as they; What’s good for the goose is good for the gander is their idea of fairness.  You spit on the sidewalk and they kill somebody over money.   All sin may be the same but, I don’t believe the punishment is.

God will judge according to works.  Romans 2:6-11  (NIV)

I have known people all my life who are Crabbers, and they carry an attitude that has spiraled out of control when it comes to the success of others.  Perhaps it’s all they know because of their environment.  Sometimes a whole community can be affected by the UN-educated and the jealous, making me a firm believer in We are only as good as our teachers.

We need to be keen on listening and learning from those outside of our zip code.  It’s imperative to venture into the world and the minds of others in order to discover there is more than one way to approach life than stepping on the toes of others.  The very reason for; To share what we know, and believe to true.

The World is larger than the city, the county, the state and the Continent we live on, not that small speck of concrete we call home.  It’s not okay to be smart in the radius of a few square miles, it would be better to be unlimited, or as close as possible, so getting out of that Crab Bucket is a must.

Some of us were taught to be crabbers.  “I Am your mother your wife can wait,” is a good example; they think only of themselves at your cost.  Thank God unacceptable behavior can be reversed if one is given information the right opportunity, the desire, and the willingness to commit.

Our life is our own, and what we do with it is entirely up to us.  The thing is, Crabbers exercise their rights over the rights of others.  They don’t seem to understand all that grabbing and pulling is not necessary; Under the Laws of God, we are all entitled.  What is for me is for me.

Those who make it out of the crab bucket, don’t just look down at those still trying to pull themselves up, it’s your responsibility to help, or you may find it lonely on the top.  So let’s not get the Big Head along the way to get where we probably shouldn’t be going in the first place.

The Word of God said; Do not gloat when your enemy falls, when they stumble, do not let your heart rejoice.  Proverbs 24:17  KJV

So, if in the event you find yourself working towards pulling others down, and wondering why you are unable to lift yourself up, more than likely you have a crab-like mentality.  But we all have our faults so what we need is a desire to help; you know, be supportive of one another.

Now when someone is trying to pull me down am going to give them an uplifting conversation.  I heard; A word of encouragement during a failure is worth more than an hour of praise after success?

It’s Something To Think About!

Thank you, Lord, To God Be The Glory!   Amen

When a person, close or not, tells me I’ll do anything for you, I wonder what’s wrong with that promise?  Everything, first of all, you cannot make one hair white or black, (Matthew 5:36) let alone do all things for anyone.

The I’ll do anything part is too vague and that makes me jittery causing my guard to go way up.  Even when we are outside of The Family Circle, our loved ones will proclaim blood is thicker, while every opportunity is taken to remind us of how far they will go because they love us.

If you ever hear me saying those five words we must be joined at the hips, (special) other than that am lying and the truth is not in me.  Most times that promise is nothing more than a ploy to make us look good or more than we really are, and oftentimes setting others up for future use.

The trouble is when we ask the I’ll do anythinger’s for that sacrifice they promised at any cost, it seems as if they do more than just come up short, often they have told a blatant lie intentionally.  The sad part is most of us don’t realize the I will do part was just a jester to show concern.  Besides, some of us really don’t like anyone interrupting our day for a favor.

It’s my opinion, and am sure you have yours.

Sometimes we are so gullible our vanity is suitable only to the needs of Satan, and most of our selfishness stems from the word Conditions.  With an arsenal of small print at our side, The Sky Is the Limit or Hell is a deeper hole than we thought?

When it comes to conditions, smart people know they can do nothing without Christ, and when it comes to those who will do anything for you, they need to know they cant do anything without Christ either. ( John 15:5)  Plus, the Anythinger’s may have conditions that will test your friendship, but don’t sweat it, we already know that whatever is Not of God, will fail in His own time, not yours.

Just like the Lord gives he also can and will take away; One of His takeaway conditions is when we add our own set of conditions into the Commandments.

I know because I use to be an I’ll Do Anythinger.   🙂

There was a time if I pledged to do something, I guarantee you it wasn’t that important to me, or I didn’t give it a thought at allOften it was just something to say to get you out of my face.  But The Anythinger is so into our needs I should have recognized long ago there may be strings attached to such devotion. (You remember when I…?)

The thing that gets me is when asking for a favor and the Anythinger agrees to help, the next thing to come out of their mouth is Okay, but you owe me one.  I am not innocent I was guilty of using that phrase too.  Even when it came time for me to be a Woman of my words, the conditions, may change; That spur of the moment thing.

Now that I know better, I’ll do anything for you is a wake-up call for, Okay!  I’ll do it if you give me something in return.  Trial and error taught me how to lose that self-serving attitude; or else.  🙂  Experience taught me kindness was free, and that’s where my Blessings would lie.

These days when asking for a favor, I simply offer to pay, it’s easier, and that way it leaves the door open.  And if you don’t have any money just say so, at least you have taken some of the drama out of the request.

People are going to do what they choose, and we only need to worry about our actions, maybe later others will see the advantages of not playing tit for tat, and truly do all they can because they can.

FYI: Some of us give back naturally, that’s who we are, and some may have missed their Blessing because they are trying to conjure them up, but just so you know, we may need help from time to time, but that doesn’t always mean we are down and out.

The Bible say it is better to give than receive, so don’t play with God, if you are giving to get, keep Jesus out of it.  He did not promise he would give to you if you give to others.  Simply put, God promised if you are generous, He will give you more to be generous with.  Luke 6:38

Plus, we will see how much of ourselves we will give or gave at our appropriate time, you know God hears all those promises and He may call you out on some of them.

Do something, but don’t get it twisted, an Anythinger is not capable of Everything.  That job belongs to Jesus Christ.

Ladies, 2017 is a good year to start on a Positive Note.  It may or may not be A man’s World, but you are a part of it, so stand up in this New Year and Claim your Excellence.

Let us through Faith push ourselves and others to higher and higher heights.  After all, we are the Rocks that make it alright for those we love through prayer, dedication, hard work and faith, coupled with kissing those tiny feet to make it all better.

Not everything is tattered and so-so.  With Jesus Christ as our support, there is always the possibility of an incredible life because of him.  I pray 2017 will be a great year for all, women in particular.  I have always believed our day will come ever since James Brown said It’s a Man’s World, but that was back in the day.

We, women, have made enormous strides, causing men to think this may not be entirely a man’s world, after all.  The future belongs to those who create it through Jesus Christ.

I heard Nancy Reagan ran the White House, and we all know Behind every great man is a great woman, being unevenly yoked can be a problem.

Be careful of who you choose; A man who doesn’t need help is a man destined to fail, taking you with him.  And just for the record, we were all created equal, so in an effort to move past myth’s, A male is a matter of birth, being a man is a matter of age, but being a gentleman is the matter of choice.

As far as being a female, I agree with Whitney Houston; I like being a woman, even in a man’s world.  After all, men can’t wear dresses, but we can wear the pants.  Whatever the sex, we all are given chances to do the right thing and possibly be blessed for it.

God does not discriminate, men are no more liberated than women, they’re just in a position to act and look like it if they follow Him, and so God sent help.  The Lord God said, it is not good that man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.  Genesis 2:18   (That’s the way it’s written in the KJV.)

Help meet in this context means “suitable.”  ( Help that is fit and proper)   Being kind, gentle, fair, and God-fearing, are just a few more attributes to go with all those muscles.  Oh! How beautiful is maleness if it‘s the right expression.  D. H. Lawrence

Weather, this is a man’s world or not, it has been proven that anyone can really change the world if they cared enough, but first, we need to know; The World is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.   Augustine of Hippo

The thing is, We can’t change anything if we never experienced anything.

So get going and make 2017 a year full of New Possibilities, hopes, and dreams by looking ahead but still staying in the day as a helpmate to our men, coupled with taking the reins when necessary.  Whatever we left in 2016 will stay there, time has moved on to bigger and better opportunities that are possible for all, coupled with endless possibilities.

All we need to do is take advantage of them and give All The Glory To God.  No one should be denied greatness because of gender, the times require it and women you have The power.

It’s Something To Think About!

Thank you, Lord, for allowing us to suck in the fresh air of a New Year with grace and humility.  We ask for this and more all in the name of Jesus Christ.   Amen!
