EDUCATION; A POWER MOVE!
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. Nelson Mandela
That’s true, but education include more than just changing the world, the best part is it will change you, and the curriculum is more varied than what we’re taught in school.
Every walk in life offers its own brand of education, whether it’s learning a new concept, changing a tire, or educating ourselves to become Rocket Scientists, (if that’s possible) coupled with the art of teaching others without preaching. Whatever the case maybe, it’s up to us to put those learned and not so learned lessons into their proper categories.
Hopefully, some of us will realize that not all lessons come from brick and mortar buildings, and still have the resolve to stay in school, for its advantages are enormous. Others are taught from the book of hard knocks, some lessons actually fall into our laps, others are created for us from some unwanted source, and then there are those intended for the sake of others. (A gift learned in order to share.)
Is it absolutely important to understand The difference between school and life? In school, you’re taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you’re given a test that teaches a lesson. Tom Bodett.
Some of the most important lessons I have learned in and out of school is: Learning the hard way teaches us it doesn’t pay to get discouraged, there are very few things that are absolute in life, most shortcuts take a lot of time, there are few perfect endings, accountability come with everything, and He that loves reading has everything within his reach. (Imagination)
When demanding respect, perhaps we should educate ourselves on how to treat others first, then teach them how to treat us using show and tell; something that eludes most of us. (Sharing) Just so you know; You teach people how to treat you by what you allow, what you stop, and by what you reinforce. Tony Gaskins
Often when our expectations are not met, we have a tendency to pass the buck. At times we are unclear, causing us to assume its others that didn’t measure up, and should be held responsible because they didn’t do such and such, or this way and that.
We act as if others should be able to read our mind; that is until they say they can then all hell break loose. Often we fail because we really don’t know as much as we pretended to know about everything, especially when denying we may not be Smarter Than A 5th Grader.
The education quite a few of us are so willing to shun is The Spiritual Education.
The only correct way to treat another or desiring to be treated a certain way comes straight from the bible. Do unto others as you would have done unto you. But, just because we know that, don’t mean we always do that. It’s clear before we can lay claim to how we want to be treated we need to work hard at being worthy of such treatment.
I am as human as the next person, sinful too. Although I try hard to be righteous some can really push my buttons. First of all, how could they know they’re angering me unless I give some type of indication. If we are wearing our worldly feeling on our sleeves some will take advantage, especially if we are unsure of ourselves, and without Jesus Christ.
Putting on the Armor of God can solve this problem.
If you really want an education and to educate, we have to know for ourselves the consequences of choosing evil over good. The fastest way I know of to get educated on the evil parts is to not believe You reap what you sow. Heaven helps you if that’s the case; thankfully we serve a Forgiving God, so once you get your act together, it’s on…
And It’s Something To Think About!
To God Be The Glory! Thank you Lord; it is in Jesus name that we pray. Amen!
