PROBLEMS, GESTURES, AND MISUNDERSTANDINGS?

What make us think we are the only ones with problems?  Being self-centered could have something to do with it, you think?

Perhaps we are our own worst enemies when it comes to claiming trouble, coupled with problems recently created in our all-knowing heads.  As a matter of fact, sometimes we create them months before by way of bad decisions, and a proud mouth that is often the root of most misunderstandings.

I am convinced the majority of our problems stem from our mouths because of control issues.  But the tongue can no man tame; (it is) an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.  James 3:8

People we are talking about saying too much about nothing, (creating problems) and speaking into existence some not so thought out plans.  For instance, spending that income tax check before it’s in the mail, or placing our livelihood in the hands of another that’s against the Will of God. (Scam artists, etc.) Coveting another persons anything, coupled with all types of UN-godly acts.

In others words when we are outside of The Word and or Will of God, problems cannot be avoided.  But, when we are Praising God and living with-in our means, we won’t have time to get out of our lane concerning things we have no control over.  Just knowing that could spare some of us from a few unnecessary pitfalls like over-spending; just to later on wonder is that check really going to come?

One of our favorite saying is: “If anything bad can happen it will probably happen to me.”  I guess so if you say so.  Now that can be a really big problem; We all should know by now the power of the tongue.  But, just in case you don’t, Proverbs 13:3 tells us, He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: (but) he that opened wide his lips shall have destruction.

We all have struggles, but when the finger is clearly pointed in our direction, according to us, we have a tendency to scream “Woe is me,” while believing the rest of the world is trouble-free?  I don’t think so.  You are not the only one with a screwed-up family; members dying of diseases, others breaking bones, jail birds, horrible losses I cannot name… Not to mention mental issues.

Sometimes are problems stem from how we Treat God; some of us use gestures.  I am not judging or assuming, you do you, I just want get my point across so I can be fully understood.  So an easy example to comprehend is in some wins the use of gestures are displayed; one often overused in my opinion, consist of  pounding our chest, kissing two fingers, then pointing to the sky.

What does that mean, and what are you pointing at?  Some of us don’t do sign language well.  Perhaps this is a way to acknowledge Christ in a crowd without actually saying Thank You, or Jesus is Lord?

Others express their love for Christ with idol’s and don’t know it.  An example is that cross with a suppose to be Jesus hanging on it. (A graven image)  FYI: He is Risen?  Are we showing off because we don’t know any better?  Is a blinged-out Jesus the “New Norm?”

And why are we claiming God is the cause of all our problems, is it because he did nothing to stop them?  What about when everything is going well?  In fact, we seldom mention Christ when we think we got it going on.  What for, we’re on top of our game and everything is honky-dory?

That’s the problem, we only need him when we need him.  Don’t you get it; we were created for God by God.  Not to use him when we think the worst is going to happen, causing us to fall on our knees; some of us for the first time.

Play by the rules, who knows’ life could get a lot easier.  God keeps his promises; we need to keep ours.  So keep the Faith and let Jesus Christ handle all your Problems, let go of the Gestures and Idols, they really don’t look that good on you anyway, but most of all, Praise God out of your mouth, this way there will be fewer Misunderstandings, leading to fewer Problems.

Do it all in the name of Jesus, while confessing out of your mouth that He is Lord.

It’s clear, Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord, praise ye the Lord.  Psalms 150::6

“It’s Something To Think About.”

To God Be the Glory.  Amen!
