“I CAME FROM NOTHING?”
Did you know talk is not meaningless? If so, then you know the words that come from our mouths verify who we are?
One of my pet peeves is when someone who has been given a wonderful life altering opportunity, often from great talent, and sometimes after a close encounter, are given a chance to describe themselves to the world, and all they can come up with is; This means so much to me because I came from nothing. Which often translates into they had little of what most take for granted.
Proverbs 14:23 tells us, In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty.
Personally, I have never heard of, or seen a Winner who used those Loser words to describe themselves and come out on top, just close. So when that Blessing was poured out on them, what happened?
If my mother heard me say, I came from nothing, she would be horrified, unless I came to my senses and then said; To God Be The Glory!
I learned that by listening to her and going to a Bible Believing, Bible Teaching Church; Knowledge is handy!
Be not rash with your mouth, nor let your heart be hasty to utter a word before God, for God is in heaven and you are on earth. Therefore let your words be few. Ecclesiastes 5:2
FYI: I really don’t think God appreciate hearing us say; I came from nothing! Praise is what Matters!
Overall the Bible is telling us to listen, know the manner in which we speak, and to whom we are telling our words to.
My dear brothers, and sisters, take note of this: everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. James 1:19
When given a great opportunity the 1st thing we should do is ask Is it for the Glory of God? Then think about what you are going to say before uttering a single word. Especially if you are putting you down; fair judges are only looking for talent, not where you came from.
When we are talented, and those of us who are Highly Favored, perhaps we don’t see that the masses accept us for who we are, not for what we didn’t have.
