The most complicatedPhoto of BACK COVER 2015-06-06 001 part about writing besides getting started is finding something worth writing about.  I Survived 60 Years To Get Cancer Then Kill It./ The Norvie L. Cherry is worth reading, and it’s available at, or anywhere books are sold on or off-line.  The eBook is available at

Now don’t get it twisted thinking this is just another book or an extension to my Blog;  I Survived is packed full adventure, the kind I wouldn’t wish on anyone, and the tale of a Cancer Survivor.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be held at gunpoint, or the sound of bullets whizzing past your head while driving a getaway car.?  Have you ever wondered what Chemo feel like, how is it administered; do you have similar questions?  You can find the answers to these and more in this candid tale of woe.

Get a detailed look into the life of a Female Gangster, coupled with a few other trades in the freestyle world of the 60’s and 70’s.  Immerse yourself into reading about the consequences of making the choice to live a life soaked in alcohol, pimps, drugs and things you know nothing about.

Let this story be a lesson to those who think the excitement of an unruly life can out-weight the cost.

I was a hustler starting at very young age and I paid the price, all of which is laid out in this journey to find myself; A journey full of near-death ordeals, and I’m not talking about the battle I had just to survive 3rd Stage Breast Cancer.  That cancer story begins in the second half of the book coupled with I had to live long enough to get cancer, which you will find was no easy task.

I believe most will be amazed at the fact that I was able to write this book and describe the full dynamics of its contents without the use of foul language.  God is Good!

I Survived is just what the doctor ordered for women who may be in situations that require this type of experienced knowledge, so as to not fall short of what God has in store for them, not what they will find in the streets.  And for those who are suffering from some type of disease, now or in the future.  In these Testimonies some may find strength by losing the fear of not knowing.

I Survived 60 Years To Get Cancer, Then Kill It./ The Norvie L. Cherry Story contains a glossary of Medical Terms told through Short Stories.  A truly real life in-depth look at Cancer, and stories about what most won’t tell others about their personal and most times embarrassing life journeys.

MEN!  You are not immune from Breast Cancer, so don’t you miss out on this invaluable information.  This is your opportunity to understand the disease and the women who may suffer from it, in and out of your lives.

Enjoy, but take heed!

We Need More!

One of the things I believe most of us have in common is the idea that We Need More.  So while I was thinking about what I needed more of, I found Michael Bassey Johnson, who penned his interpretation of What We Need More Of.   He has a message to be shared.  I know you will enjoy it as much as I have.

“We need more love to supersede hatred.  We need more strength to resist our weaknesses.  We need more inspiration to lighten up our inner mind.  We need more learning to erase our ignorance, and we need more wisdom to live longer and happier.”

“We need more truths to suppress deceptions.  We need more health to enjoy our wealth.  We need more peace to stay in harmony with our brethren.  We need more smiles to brighten up our day.  We need more hero’s and not zero’s.  We need more change of ourselves to change the lives of others.”

“We need more understanding to tackle our misunderstanding.  We need more sympathy, not apathy.  We need more forgiveness not vengeance.  We need more humility to be lifted up.  We need more patience and not undue eagerness.  We need more optimism, not pessimism.  We need more justice, not injustice.”

“We need more fact, not fiction.  We need more education to curb illiteracy.  We need more skills, not incompetence.  We need more challenges to make attempts.  We need more talents to create the extraordinary.  We need more helping hands, not stingy folks.”

“We need more efforts, not laziness.  We need more jokes to forget our worries.  We need more spirituality, not mean religion.  We need more freedom, not enslavement.  We need more peacemakers, not revolutionaries.  With these, we create a heaven on earth.”

We need more insightful writers like Michael Bassey Johnson, and more readers like you to spread what you have read, sharing all the inspirational ideas of others, yourself and more.

So let me add to the Glory of God and say, I am a Witness for Jesus Christ, and my spirit told me to tell you, Jesus is our foundation for the things we need and one of the reasons he sends us Educators….

We need Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior because It is Written; ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.  Matthew 4:4

So we need the Bible: All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproach, for correction, for instructions in righteousness…  2nd Timothy 3:16

The Bible is the standard we need in the pursuit of God and a Godly life.  We need to join a Bible Believing Bible Teaching Church, pay our Tithes, and Praise God for everything that is within us.   🙂

Thank you, Lord, for you are the one I need; the one who is the joy of my life, my strength and my salvation.   It is in Jesus name we pray.  Amen!

As far as I know there are no certainties in this world, especially when it comes to the things we love; not to mention the things we covet. (Desire wrongfully, or wish for.)  But there’s hope and plenty of assurances through Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior.

The Bible tells us in 1st John 15-16: Do not love the world or the things of the world.  “If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world…the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes, and pride of life…is not from the Father.

If you choose to believe what I just quoted from 1st John, then it’s possible you may live a good life through your knowledge and beliefs; so as when you pass from this world into the Spiritual World, you may receive the Gift of Eternal Life.

Matthew 19:18 tell us how to achieve that great gift: And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?  Verse 20: Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and mother.

Or you can believe having Faith in Jesus Christ and receiving Everlasting Life is just another fluke; possibly creating for yourself a life that is condemned.  I believe if you choose a life void of Christ you will arrive in Hell at an appointed time if you are not already living it on earth.

So the choices are: Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned.  Mark 16:16

The choice is yours and It’s Something To Think About, coupled with Enough Said!

Thank you Lord for giving us choices and the wisdom to choose wisely.  It is in Jesus name that we pray.  Amen!

Did you know talk is not meaningless?   If so, then you know the words that come from our mouths verify who we are?

One of my pet peeves is when someone who has been given a wonderful life altering opportunity, often from great talent, and sometimes after a close encounter, are given a chance to describe themselves to the world, and all they can come up with is; This means so much to me because I came from nothing.   Which often translates into they had little of what most take for granted.

Proverbs 14:23 tells us, In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty.

Personally, I have never heard of, or seen a Winner who used those Loser words to describe themselves and come out on top, just close.  So when that Blessing was poured out on them, what happened?

If my mother heard me say, I came from nothing, she would be horrified, unless I came to my senses and then said; To God Be The Glory!

I learned that by listening to her and going to a Bible Believing, Bible Teaching Church;  Knowledge is handy!

Be not rash with your mouth, nor let your heart be hasty to utter a word before God, for God is in heaven and you are on earth.  Therefore let your words be few.   Ecclesiastes 5:2

FYI: I really don’t think God appreciate hearing us say; I came from nothing!  Praise is what Matters!

Overall the Bible is telling us to listen, know the manner in which we speak, and to whom we are telling our words to.

My dear brothers, and sisters, take note of this: everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.  James 1:19

When given a great opportunity the 1st thing we should do is ask Is it for the Glory of God?  Then think about what you are going to say before uttering a single word.  Especially if you are putting you down; fair judges are only looking for talent, not where you came from.

When we are talented, and those of us who are Highly Favored, perhaps we don’t see that the masses accept us for who we are, not for what we didn’t have.

“It’s Something To Think About!”

Thank you Lord, and it is in Jesus name that we pray.
