THE RECIPE FOR POWER!

FYI: Contact information can be found at the bottom of each post.

THE RECIPE FOR POWER IS AN EDUCATION!

Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic parents with high expectations?  Bob Beauprez

The purpose of an education is to teach one to think, replacing an empty mind with an open one, leaving us always a student.  One of the rewards is if we develop a passion for learning we will continue to grow just as the world around us does, giving us the Recipe for Power.

In my opinion, the mark of an educated mind is often clear to all those around, it has a glow of confidence that is hard to deny.

What I love most about the educated is they can entertain most thoughts with a rational mind by taking everything they hear into consideration, while having the ability to weed out the nonsense, allowing change for the better good.

Clearly, there are advantages when it comes to an education; one of them being education is the major reason we are different from animals.  We have the ability to reason; something that is honed through education.

Since we all come from different backgrounds, education levels the playing field, so one of the primary advantages of having an education is it can dispel inequality.

The poorest of us can become the wealthiest of all with a proper education.  When we are educated we have better job prospects, including an education that we can potential the raise the bar in a variety of fields, advancing our perspective and capital.  (Ideas, and money)

The disadvantages of not having an education are so overwhelming I don’t know where to begin.  But I can tell you a job is hard to find when one doesn’t have the skills to fill out an application or speak proper English.  Not only do we lose our status, finances, and values, we are further impaired with our already restricted and not so creative ideas or the lack of.

FYI: Once again, if the subject is not for you stay out of it, one shoe does not fit all, I am only here for those who need to know, not to criticize.

I believe, not only do we need a sound education in the field of math, reading, writing, and speaking.  We need the knowledge of all arts; music, theater, dance, etc…  All of them are a part of a well-rounded education and a source of great power for the future.

Thank you, Loud!  It is in Jesus name that we pray for guidance and understanding, giving God all the Glory and for the furtherance of the Gospel.  Amen

QUESTION; IS GOD YOUR GO TO GUY?

Contact information can be found at the bottom of each post.

QUESTION; IS GOD YOUR GO TO GUY?

Some of us use God as if he is our own personal Go To Guy.  Unlike some of our other most dependable guys who are presently on earth, it seems as if they are harder to find than a four-leaf clover.  God’s presence is always with us.

Did you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?   1st Corinthians 3:16

When we want something, what is the first thing we do?  Do we go to God after using all our other resources? (Satan)  Which leaves us to wonder, why our wants haven’t materialized?

Have you ever thought it may be what we are asking for?  Have you ever thought it could be something we haven’t done that is blocking that thing we call a blessing?

In truth, when we want things from God that we really don’t need, perhaps the problem is; We didn’t take into consideration the consequences of what we are asking for.  For instance, is it about God or you, and is it for the greater good?  Now don’t get it twisted, no one said you can’t have some of your desires, but there is a rule concerning that too.

Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of your heart.   Psalms 37:4

For those of you that don’t know; One of God’s greatest gifts is the unanswered prayer.  Especially if we are praying for what may belong to another, or it’s unhealthy, etc…  God truly knows what is best for us, and will hold back because of that knowledge, but he will never fail at giving us what we need.  We are his children, and as children, we do not always get what we want.

God will give us what we need when it is needed if only we believe and trust in His Power.  When we strengthen our Relationship in the Kingdom of God we have to allow for a few changes to take place first.  One of them is to know that God gave us 86,400 seconds every day.  Have you used one, just one of them to say Thank You?

Second of all, are you the type of person that when you don’t get what you want, do you say; Let thy will be done and move on, or are you the type that may say; All right, then, have it your way, in discussing?  Some don’t ask and don’t care.  Whatever route we choose to take, our relationship and trust in Jesus Christ will determine if God is your Go To Guy, or not.

It’s Something To Think About!

Thank you, Lord, for having our best interest at heart, even in the times when we cannot see, or understand the direction you have taken.  It is in Jesus name that we pray to finally put our complete trust in you for our well-being.  Amen!

SURVIVING THE ONES THAT LOVE US !

A note from the author:  All of my contact information can be found at the bottom of each post.

Surviving The Ones That Love Us!

At times, our helpmates can do more harm than good when assisting us in a time of need, and we can play a large part of why this is, by allowing it to go on.  Now, if the shoe doesn’t fit don’t wear it, although some will try it on anyway.  Drama, drama, drama.

On the other side of the sick-bed, our help may unwittingly run the air conditioner to suit their needs while eating our food without taking into consideration other mouths have to be fed, the bills still have to be paid, and the grass will still need to be cut.

Just because we are sick, don’t think that will stop foreclosures or any other hardships from arising.

Some of our families and friends are so concerned about us resting they don’t want us to even raise a glass of water to our face; believing it may take too much energy while omitting what’s normal.   And let’s not be naive, while they are waiting on us hand and foot, as we are encouraging them to do more.

You had better get out of that bed if you can.  Whatever the situation; laziness, being catered to, or severely limited in what you can and cannot do, I suggest you grab some common sense, so as not to let anyone stop you from your goals; which is to Survive, and live a wholesome life

Even the healthiest will lose muscle mass waiting for someone else to do for them.  So, If you can’t physically stand mentally get up.  I know these things are easier said than done, but not impossible.

It’s nice to have friends sitting by your bedside holding your hand while telling you everything will be alright.  It would be a lot better if that friend did something that will make that statement a reality.  I think we all would do a lot better if our enablers were more pro-active than sympathetic.

Life will go on with or without some of us, so we have to be realistic in our journey and expectations, although we can never be prepared for everything, we can make ourselves aware of most.

When we are out of the loop, matters take on a different perspective.  We start to worry about any and everything, which is natural, but some of us forget when we are at our lowest, there is a God, His name is Jesus Christ, and He is there for such a time as this.

Jesus said in Luke 18:27; The things impossible with men are possible with God.

Any type of illness is a serious and scary situation; but in order to deal with such a heavy load, we need to never take our illnesses to heart; only to God, while constantly feeding our faith.

Using Cancer as an example; We need to understand it is only one word, not a sentence.

Some people are so fearful of their name in the same sentence as the word cancer and other diseases, it’s as if they have already pronounced themselves dead.  A self-conceived death sentence that is dominating their lives and allowing the Killing of the Head, which in turn will Kill the Body.

Diseases are often malignant and invasive growths, not death sentences as some of us can testify to today, and because the storm has passed, this is not the time to waddle in the mud, it’s time to declare God Is Good, giving Him all the glory.

Beware of ignorance; for not knowing Jesus Christ heals, coupled with living in fear of knowledge, (not getting tested) is detrimental to our well-being.

To increase your chances of Surviving, go to a Bible Believing, Bible Teaching Church.  If not, your fears may run rampant like wildfires; out of control.

Not being able to stay the course, or control ourselves is a tactic used by Satan to keep us from the healing process; spiritually, mentally, and physically.  It’s just another one of the self-destructive tricks the Devil uses to keep us off our real goal, which is to stay focused on Jesus Christ, so that after we have done all we can, He will do the impossible.

Place your head in the bosom of Jesus Christ, knowing with Him, we can Survive any Storm by not allowing Satan or any of his cohorts to put thoughts in our head that are dangerous to our mental as well as physical health.

With Jesus Christ, “The human spirit is stronger than anything that can happen, so don’t be afraid of tomorrow, God is already there.”  Just keep in mind if you’re going through Hell, this is not the time to make a pit-stop; keep it moving.

Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to (successfully) resist and stand your ground in the day (of danger), having done everything (that the crisis demands), to stand firm (in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious).   Ephesians 6:13  The Amplified Bible

It’s Something to Think About!   And it is in Jesus name that we pray to Weather The Storm.   Amen

YIELD NOT TO TEMPTATION!

Knowledge of God’s Word is a bulwark (protection) against deception, temptation, accusation, even persecution.  Edwin Louis Cole

A temptation is just another name for the Devil, and he is following our every move, taking note of all our personal desires; offering things that are “Too good to be true.”

Yield Not To Temptation!  Don’t get caught up in the desires of your flesh?

BEWARE of weak moments; for out of them, some may never recover.  Stay away from coveting (wishing for) things that are not yours.  And if you are not interested in the rules or consequences about the things you desire, you can bet the Devil is in the details, you may be caught up.

We can really create a stench when bathing in our vanities.

Satan knows when it comes to our flesh getting what it wants, we are not above telling a little white lie, cheating someone, stealing whenever we can, killing one another; often over a pair of tennis shoes, or creating false god’s and more.

What better time than now to reinstate our resolve to live by the teachings of Jesus Christ?  That action alone may get us the desires of our heart, eliminating the need to step on or over others.

Jesus Christ promised if you Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  Psalms 37:4

Now is the time to be the Person of Our Words.  Give up the Um-A-Jumbo.    Who knows, some of us are awarded second chances.  Even the ones we don’t believe deserve them, but that’s not our call.  Mind your own business.

For those who need a little more, an extra push, what better time than now; The beginning of a New Year?

Don’t be the one who cling to that same ole  “Um-A-Gonna Attitude”  in 2016..  That’s just who I am, don’t work because, the um-a-gonna’s is a lazy negligent excuse; sometimes a straight out lie.  We know there are exceptions, still there are quite a few who never even try to get out of the gate..

The Um-A-Gonna’s, and its first cousin, I”ll do it tomorrow, have never finished a single task.  Well, for all I know, not in my lifetime.

The Bible tells us in John 15:5: You can do nothing without me.  KJV   So far that verse has proven to be true; at least in my case.  If we do not obey the Laws of God, coupled with all talk and no action, few will get the results they desire.

Matthew 26:41 warns us to: Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

In 1868, Horatio R. Palmer, an author, blessed us with the Gospel song Yield Not to Temptation.  The words he penned are some of the to best to reflex my meaning as a whole, and it’s far simpler to understand than anything I could have authored, especially for starting out on the right foot, in 2016.

Yield Not to Temptation!

Yield not to temptation, for yielding is sin; Each vict’ry will help you some other to win; Fight manfully onward, dark passions subdue; Look ever to Jesus, He’ll see you through.

Refrain: Ask the Savior to help you, Comfort, strengthen, and keep you; He is willing to aid you, He will carry you through.

Shun evil companions, bad language disdain, God’s name hold in rev’rence, nor take it in vain; Be thoughtful and earnest, kindhearted and true; Look ever to Jesus, He’ll carry you through.

To him that o’ercometh, God giveth a crown, Through faith we will conquer, though often cast down; He who is our Savior, our strength will renew; Look ever to Jesus, He’ll carry you through.   Horatio R. Palmer  (Public Domain)

I Can Testify!   Although time don’t always heal, a change of heart can be the start of an appeal.

God is Good!  It’s in Jesus name that we pray.  Amen!

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER; PASS IT ON!

A Heads Up, to all my Seniors and for the rest of you to pass on.

Knowledge is Power. Information is Power. The Secreting or hoarding of knowledge or information may be an act of tyranny camouflaged as humility.   Robin Morgan

Seniors, when you turn 65 years of age your tax responsibilities diminish.  I pray you are not waiting for the IRS or any other Government affiliate to educate you on how to keep your money, from them.

For instance; There are some Senior Citizens rates afforded to those who are age 65 or older, and we are not talking about discount days at our local food chain.

For these cash savings, you simply apply at, or by calling your local Gas, Light, and Water Companies.

These deductions are in place so you won’t have to worry about being denied.  All you have to do is call and ask for your Senior Citizen’s benefits.  Some may send a form to fill out, others may give you the deduction over the phone.

I believe what I’m telling you is true in all States.  The point is to make the call and find out for yourself.

And, if you own your home, your Property Taxes may vanish altogether.  Say you pay a few thousand dollars a year, then there is a great possibility your new payment will be under $4.  No kidding and that is including you will no longer be responsible for School Taxes.

In Georgia, I applied at the Tags and Title office.  The only thing required of me was to have on hand a recent payment statement from any utility company, a driver’s license, my Social Security card, and the Security Deed to my home.

FYI: You must live on the property, and I believe you cannot get this tax break on rental property.

2016 may not be as expensive as some may have thought, especially if this is your 65th year; Better check it out;

Just So You Know, and it is Something To Think About!

Happy New Year!

Thank you, Lord, for the others who are sharing knowledge, and it is in Jesus name that we receive it.  Amen!
