FLEXIBILITY; BEND, OR BE BROKEN!

11 Dec

In order to be strong, we must be Flexible, and bend like the Pine trees in heavy winds.  If we are unmovable and unable to change, no matter the situation we will never be able to accomplish much, leaving us stuck in a rut, and you know how I feel about that.

The only difference between a rut and the grave are the dimensions(Width, length, and thickness.)

Flexibility, is the one ingredient we all need to create in us an openness to the plans and ideas of others, which are all interlinked to God’s plans.  We must be flexible, it’s the only way to fit in.

We need to get with the program.

When we are consumed with conceit, and it’s coupled with being stubborn as a mule, this creates an attitude that causes us to harden our line of thinking, and slamming the door to other ideas.  This has a tendency to cause us to lose our creativity, and forever be as dumb as a rock.

Most selfish traits are steeped in pride, and the decisions made are void of the bigger picture; causing us to fail.

For the longest time I thought I had all my t’s crossed and my i’s dotted.  I was sure-sure; I was also young and under the impression it was my way or the highway.   What others had to say didn’t matter; I had all the answers, and the best ideas.

As I grew, I realized there were more sensible solutions than just mine.  I had to let go of some of my own know it all tendencies, loosen up, and listen more.   As a matter of fact, when I did pay attention to the suggestions of others, I found most of their solutions were more thought out than I could have ever surmised, leaving me to feel like a one trick pony.

As human beings, we need to be more susceptible to modification and adaptability, including a willing to yield, and become pliable in this ever-changing world; not to mention it’s a necessity.

We have to be able to adjust to emerging realities, and still stay true to our personal religion and ideology.   For starters, flexibility is not a sign of weakness or selling out, it’s keeping an open mind in search for the truth.

And we must be flexible for the generations to come, so that they can be taught to recognize the need; creating in them the ability to adapt to the ideas of others, and use those resources to fit an array of uses, personal needs, and godly duties.

Creativity has always depended on openness, but in order to make it work, we must change our attitude, and recognize the difference it will make if we adhere to that change.

There are some really hard to deal with people in this increasingly difficult world who are stuck in their ways, but no matter the toughness, they too must change, in order to create an opportunity to become creatively useful.

When we welcome the ability to be flexible, we can be moved in directions other than our own, causing a whole new world to reveal its self, giving us an array of choices.  Something a rigid mind is incapable of.

The bible tells us the importance of getting outside of ourselves.  Proverbs 3:5 suggest that we; Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

And Proverbs 14:6 tells us; A scoffer seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge is easy to one who has understanding.

So understand; We cannot do it alone, we need each other; coupled with the willingness to be honest.  Any changes in our mode of thinking for the betterment of others are critical in order to understand the world, the part we play in it, and its acceptability according to God’s Will.

“It’s Something to Think About.”

Lord, it is in Jesus name that we ask for you to give us guidance, so that we can make conscious choices for positive change.   Amen!

Hello just wanted to give you a quick heads up.
The words in your post seem to be running off the screen in Chrome.
I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do
with internet browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know.

The design and style look great though! Hope you get the issue fixed soon. Kudos

This design is spectacular! You obviously know how to keep a reader
amused. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to
start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Excellent job. I
really loved what you had to say, and more than that,
how you presented it. Too cool!
