We all have issues, but there are those who claim they don’t; others refuse to consider certain things as issues, only because they don’t want to put too much importance on that one thing. Good for them, for they are the thinkers and are able to prioritize what is important, and what is not.
With some, any little bump in the road that upsets them becomes a huge problem, and then there are those who are UN-willing to let that thing go for some reason or another. Perhaps they love a good fight, and relenting might make them look weak… I say it make them look foolish.
The thing is, how do we handle issues before they become problems? The other thing is, why do some of the smallest of issues bring about the largest problems?
Management; There is no one size or solution that fits all.
When we are dealing with challenges, in my opinion, there is no difference between large or small issues when it comes to one another. I agree with the Bible concerning the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do to you. Luke 6:31 (NIV)
I believe all people should be treated the way we want to be treated ourselves; and that is with respect and humility, no matter their beliefs. I believe everyone should have the right to explain or defend themselves, and all involved should have and give a listening, coupled with a respectable ear.
Sometimes a discussion is all that is needed. But some won’t let the smallest of things go. Some would rather argue, complain, and or hate on others. This is life as they know it...I changed my position by changing my environment, and attitude.
When a family member asked me why did I leave Detroit, and Pittsburgh, for Atlanta, Ga. I told him, sometimes in order for us to become what and who we want to be, or represent, we have to go somewhere else to learn new and better ways to accomplish that desire, but more importantly; to achieve the purpose we were born to be or do.
I believe we are only as good as our teachers. (Parents, friends, environment, etc.) And sometimes that is not enough.
FYI: “Just so you know;” If we pay attention, when people are arguing, mostly, they are saying the same thing, just with different words. This failure to communicate is called not listening to one another; the biggest of all issues.
To me, it seems as if most of us live by our beliefs, not by debating over every little thing. “It’s Something To Think About.”
