Do you really know what day it is? I do!
There is no doubt it, today is my favorite day of all days? I chose this day because of its importance; I am alive. Today will always be my favorite day, until I wake up on tomorrow and find it to be a better day than yesterday; because I’m still alive. But, until that day comes, it can’t get any better than this.
When we wake, whether it is in the morning, afternoon or night, we never seem to pay much attention to the fact that we are blessed and have been awakened by the Will of God.
How can such an amazing feat be so under appreciated? We just get up and assume it’s all natural. It may very well be, but there are forces at work we overlook. Fore instants, Jesus Christ; who should be first on our minds and at the fore front of all we will be for today, tomorrow and forever.
“It’s something To Think About.”
It’s very seldom, if at all, we give thought to the fact that we are still breathing, a miracle within itself that is relevant. We seem to take the most important aspects of our lives for granted. Never giving thought to why, as if we have nothing to live for. Automatically we assume this is just another day, (unless we have something big planned for ourselves) when in fact it is not; we are all here for a purpose.
It seems as if the gifts that really matter are often overlooked. We are too busy looking forward to earthy gifts; birthdays, Christmas, and just because. What about the Gift of Life?
You would think we would be jumping for joy, not overlooking the very essence of our existence, the Lord God. Most think it’s water, when if fact it is the Breath of Life.
And the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7 (KJV)
“Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor.” Thich Nhat Hanh
Once we recognize and start praising and thanking God for this day. We may come to realize: This is the day the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalms 118:24
To God Be The Glory! Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. Psalms 150:6 (KJV) Amen.
