“If you are a Christian, you are not a citizen of this world trying to get to heaven; you are a citizen of heaven making your way through this world.” Vance Havner
Obstacles are designed to obstruct or hinder progress. Most times the obstacle that is standing in my way is me. Did you know a lack of imagination can be a Hugh obstacle, perhaps a major player of why some have never experienced success?
Our imagination is the first step to creativity, and that gift can remove most obstacles. Through experience, I realize the ones who have experienced a certain degree of success has also experienced heartbreaking failures?
Some of our failures were created because of the fear of…? That fearfulness can and will create doubt. Since we are already our own worst enemy, perhaps it’s not fear? Pride can be a big contender in the game of Obstacles.
It was pride that changed angels into devils. It’s Something to Think About.
Some of us face overwhelming obstacles; afraid to leave the house, afraid to speak in public. Worldly fears such as germs, and unholy fears such as demons and ghosts. The best way to overcome these obstacles is to call on the Name of The Lord, then face them using patience, perseverance, and for the most part, Faith.
Once we embrace The Love of Jesus Christ, we can harness our fears, coupled with the motivation it requires to conquer them. We must keep our Faith and Energy at a high level of concentration in order to overcome even the unlikely barricades. (Family, and friends.)
Our job, while obeying the Will of God; is to figure out how to go through, walk around, get over, or dismiss that thing altogether. Then, accept responsibility; this promotes positive, physical, and mental growth; allowing the possibility of success to inspire us.
When we can overcome distractions, we can fulfill our purpose, while helping others through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
Crystallize your goals. Make a plan for achieving them and set yourself a deadline. Then with supreme confidence, determination and disregard for obstacles and other people’s criticism, carry out your plans.
There is a winner in all of us, find the strength to discover that part of yourself, then persevere to ensure your targeted goals in spite of overwhelming obstacles; the pressures stemming from others; known or unknown. (Mainly, Satan)
Obstacles present opportunities. It is the willingness to accept and or conquer them that is the key to successful living. Use your obstacles as stepping-stones to climb the latter of all things good and hoped for.
“Our critics make us strong! Our fears make us bold! Our haters make us wise! Our foes make us active: Our obstacles make us passionate! Our losses make us wealthy! Our disappointments make us appointed! Our unseen treasures give us a known peace. Whatever is designed against us will work for us.” Iraelmore Ayivor
FYI: I believe one of the greatest obstacles we face, is Doubt. If you have a little faith, keep reading, if you don’t keep reading and empower yourself.
I have strength for all things in Christ who empowers me–I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me, (that is, I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency).
Believe this, for it is written in Philippians 4:13 (AMP)
Lord, give us the strength to face our challenges, build our character, remove all doubt, and give us the courage to overcome all obstacles in a Christ-like manner. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
