DID YOU KNOW? #22 (Suicide)

Did you know suicide is never the answer to any problem?  You have power over your mind, not outside events.  Realize this and you will find strength.   Marcus Aurelius

You are not the only one with problems, and suicide is not the answer or the cure.  Did you know some of those problems others have should leave you mute and appreciative it wasn’t you?  Take the time to learn more about yourself, and about those you surround yourself with, which may be the root to some of your stumbling blocks, and Devil serving decisions.

Did you know problems are worth their weight in gold?  Perhaps, that is because of their value if used as a guideline to not create, join in, suggest, or cause that thing to happen, or ever happen again?  Problems are lessons to be solved, not to die over.

Every one of us has problems, and there are only two ways I know of to resolve them.  One such way is to fix the issue, the other is death; which is not an option or a decision I would choose for myself.

Did you know suicide is unacceptable even when we cannot resolve our problems, nor is using the same methods that created them?  Problems are not designed to stop us from doing anything, they are there because there are bumps in the road and stuff happens, then life goes on just as we should.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem, and I’m sorry to say that some see suicide as a way of telling God and others they quit.

Did you know, our loved ones, (family, but not necessarily blood kin) and real friends are the ones we don’t have to beg, chase after or fall over?  They are the ones who accept our negative nature without fear of hurting our feelings, and will attempt to correct our bad behavior whether we like it or not; possibly saving us from doing the unthinkable.  (Killing ourselves.)

I am a  “Living Witness”  to the fact that the Devil is always happy and willing to give bad advice.  Perhaps, the suggestion to “take the easy way out,”  is more recognizable to us, then the realization that the suggestion comes from Satan, and we do not realize it is his answer, not God’s to all our problems.  A devastating step away from victory.  Some know to call on the name of the Lord.  Which is what I am trying to tell you.

It’s easy to be tricked when situations are not fully understood because of emotions, lies, bad decisions, and wrongs that are coupled with the sins of our fathers and others.  Causing us to believe our life is out of control, and we are not worth the air we breathe.  This can leave us zapped and unable to suck the pure essence of our existence in; at lease the way God meant for it to be…After all, he did say, I knew thee before I formed you in the belly.  Jeremiah 1:5

It’s best to step back and take a moment to choose your friends wisely and with like-mindedness.  If we hang around  “gloom and doom”  long enough, eventually it will overshadow us.

Help is required in most situations, dire or not.  The best way I know how to receive that help is to let go of my understanding coupled with my pride, and join a Bible Believing, Bible Teaching Church, and let a Pastor who teaches the Word of God to help me understand God’s Will, and how it pertains to me.

The first step is to be mindful and knows everything in our life is not going to be perfect.  But, we can get closer to perfection when Jesus Christ is involved…

Just because some things don’t work out, does not necessary mean it was not for you or a good plan.  Sometimes it’s not it’s time, so we have to crawl before we can walk.  Some of us can and will be ahead of the times, we just have to know that while waiting on the Lord.

Believe me, it’s not our plan that will work anyway; It’s God’s plan.  Receive that knowledge or …?

FYI: One of the first steps to gaining confidence in our own life is to not criticize others, condemn or complain.  Rather pray for salvation, gather up all your courage, while trying not to make a fool of yourself when things are not going your way.  Do not let your downfall be caused by a lack of knowledge concerning God, his blessings, and how to access them.

With Jesus Christ, we expect for things to be in our favor, and most will, as long as it is done His way.

Believe in yourself through Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, and while you’re at it, believe Job 1:21; I came naked from my mother’s womb,”  he said, ” and I shall have nothing when I die.  The Lord gave me everything I had, and they were his to take away.  Blessed be the Name of the Lord.

Don’t get it twisted, we are talking about the life we think belongs to us, that don’t.  We are a vessel unto the Lord.

Did you know, Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints?   Psalms 116:15

“O Praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.  For his merciful kindness is great toward us; and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever.  Praise ye the Lord.”   Psalm 117:1-2

In Jesus name we Pray.  Amen

THE PERFECT MARRIAGE; KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE?

Some things work best when they work together because the Bible says, Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their toil.  Matthew 18:20  ES-V

A perfect example of that is when Knowledge: the fact or state of knowing, and Experience; the knowledge or practical wisdom gained from what one has observed, encountered, or undergone; join.  When this happens, they create a marriage, seemly made in heaven.

Some of us cut up no matter what the circumstances, causing us to lose a part of our growth.  The main reason is some of us do not respect the fact that the only source of knowledge is experience, whether we did it, heard it, or it happened to us.  Once we can get over the ” I know it all,” and gain knowledge from experience, coupled with losing that hard head because of ignorance, success is only waiting in the wings.

Experience is knowledge: the more we experience, the more knowledgeable we become.  But, insight enables us to recognize and take different approaches to the mistakes we may have experienced or have knowledge of; creating in us a learned ability to correct by not repeating old patterns that block our future.

Success comes to those who stay open-minded to new experiences.  And not all, but most with a good education generally produce good experiences.  We are just ordinary people, who may experience extraordinary opportunities through Jesus Christ, Our Lord, and Savior.  Take advantage of them by letting today be one of those days.

For whatever reason we do what we do, it must be efficient in order for that thing to be effective unless doing things over and over is what you need to do things correctly.  It’s our ability to learn from our experiences at our own pace, that create our successes in the long run.

When we recognize the importance of knowledge, and the experiences we gain from just being observant, we may realize that  “Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible.   Audrey Hepburn

Thank you, Lord, for every breath.  In Jesus, we pray.

EVIL: THE FACE OF BEAUTY!

The Devil is as vain as the rest of us, so be careful when looking into the Face of Beauty, it may be fatal.  We have a tendency to believe ugly things only come from ugly things.

Beauty is how you feel on the inside, and it reflects in your eyes, not how we look in our physical bodies…

We have to recognize the Devil when we see him or her.  He has more looks than the billions of people alive and dead today.  Did you know his name means, Accuser?  (A hint into his personally.)

The Devil is really easier to recognize than we think, but still unrecognizable.  That’s because we think he has the face of a demon, or worst if there is such a thing while ruling out the “sweet old lady look.”

The, I look like I would never do anything wrong face, reminds me of the movie Arsenic and Old Lace.  It’s about these two old women who wouldn’t hurt a fly even if they wanted too.  They were the sweetest murders ever represented on the Silver Screen.  (Directed by Frank Capra in 1944, starring Cary Grant.)

Those “devilets” did not have the face of the “evil one;” as we know it, nor did they have the horns and tail?   Simply put, they were normal looking, proving to me we don’t know what Satan look like, even when we are looking him in the face.  Is it because we are looking for something “out of this world,”  to be the Devil?”

Maybe, maybe not; but I did hear,  “Hell is right here on Earth,” so to me that indicates the Devil is here too.  Personally, I believe he is standing right in front of our faces the majority of the time, and we call him by name.

Pray for us Jesus!

Perhaps Satan look like the ones who are gossiping; telling all the business of others they no nothing of.  Don’t leave out the ones that know best: “If that was me, I would…”  Or the ones that talk us into wrongs, the wrongs that go against every fiber in our bodies, including everything we know to be right.

Our excuses for not casting out the face of evil can vary from we love those “sinners,” to it can’t be all bad, etc… So we carry on down that slippery slope, blind-sided by some unseen behavior used to steer us in the wrong direction.  And, I do not believe in “If it look good, it must be good.”

In today’s society, how we and others see us is very important.  We have a tendency to think our look, not actions, defines who we are.  The world focuses on what we look like on the outside, while the bible is warning us by telling us; the Devil look like no one we can image.  We just don’t want to believe or admit the evil some of us are capable of, especially those who are close.  Often saying; “I’ll never tell.”

And it is no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light, so it is not surprising if his servants also masquerade as ministers of righteousness.  (But) their end will correspond with their deeds.  2nd Corinthians 11:14-15   AMP  ( A warning)

Perhaps the main issue is not having the ability or desire to see the Devil for who he really is and what he really look like.  Because that look, that face could be you, me, Aunt Betty, you name them…  I assure you the Devil is not some horned likeness some were coloring at Vacation Bible School.

FYI: At times, Satan is wearing the face of someone who mean a great deal to us, so we will do wrong for their sake.  Beware: Any wrong face we refuse to accept “as it is what it is,” is indefinably a huge setback with a larger than life price tag to pay.

There are so many faces some are afraid of their own shadow…Some faces bully us, other show a lost look, or that scared look when we don’t tell that “little white lie,” etc…That type of stuff comes from and is the “Face of the Devil.”   Pure evil.  For whatever the reason; If it is not of God, it is of the Devil.

Satan is constantly attacking us from all angles, what better way than use the face of those we trust, love, or are afraid of?  If we ever take off our “rose-colored glasses” and see the real Satan, that may live next door, remember: When he attacks with all his different looks, “He who look outside, dreams; he who look inside, awakens.”

Don’t let what you love, that is outside the Will Of God, be your downfall.  It’s Something to think about.”

WORRYWARTS!

Worrying is like praying for what you don’t want.  Perhaps, the only thing worrying has the power to change is what you will be worrying over next.  Did you know, “Sorrow looks back, worry look around, Faith looks up?”

Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.  Leo Buscaglia

Tomorrow is a game of chance.  We may live long enough to experience it in all its glory; maybe not.  If we let tomorrow take care of itself and we get a grip on today, perhaps we can look forward to a bright future by relying on our faith just to survive the next couple of minutes.

By living in the present, maybe we can conquer unnecessary anxieties that cause us to get ahead of ourselves, just to suffer.  Did you know, anticipation will make us wait.

FYI: My motto since Cancer is:To Kill, the Head is to Kill the Body,”  and worrying is where it begins.  “If pleasures are greatest in anticipation, just remember that this is also true of trouble.”  Elbert Hubbard.

Anxiety is a form of worry and, worrying is carrying tomorrow’s load with today’s strength-carrying two days at once.  It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time.  Worrying doesn’t empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.”  Corrie ten Boom

In other words, don’t worry yourself to death looking so far ahead that you miss enjoying where you are now.  Perhaps the best way to conquer these anxieties is to Live in the Moment.  I am all for enjoying the day, you?

“If you don’t think your anxiety, depression, sadness and stress impact your physical health, think again.  All these emotions trigger chemical reactions in your body, which can lead to inflammation and a weakened immune system.  Learn how to cope. There will always be dark days.”  Kris Carr

I agree with Kris to a degree.  That last part sound like predicting the future to me.  My Spirit tells me there may be dark days for some, and others won’t even know they exist.  And the Bible says: You do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life: For you are a mist that appears for a little time, and then vanish.  James 4:14  ES-V

“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself.  Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”   Matthew 6:34  ES-V

Thank you, Lord, for not allowing more than we can bear in our walk with You, and giving us this day.  Let us rejoice and be glad in it.  In Jesus name, we pray.  Amen

WE’RE GOING TO CHANGE; REALLY?

When some of us get into a dire situation the first thing we do is swear to stop doing whatever it is we are doing.  We claim to start the process of turning over a new leaf.  (Reform)  Mostly, we swear to God telling him, We’re going to Change if he…And we think we’re off to a good start.

The first thing some do (like I did) is to start spewing out empty promises to save my whatever is left of it.  Besides claiming the same ole same ole; I’m going to rectify, do, or not do something ever again… “I swear it.”   Yeah right!

It never works, and most of us know that when we tell that lie.  Some of us know Matthew 5:36; Neither shalt thou swear by your head because thou canst not make one hair white or black.   We are already in trouble; aware of it or not.

But, we can right the wrongs and change because of the Grace and Mercy that comes from Jesus Christ.  Jesus didn’t say we couldn’t change, He said, You can do nothing without me.  (John 15:5 KJV)  I believed Him and started seeking Him by joining a Bible Teaching Church.

So, with all this talk about changing when the chips are down or when we are flying high, coupled with that thing we did that was so embarrassing we will never live it down.  In today’s society, it’s very difficult to believe that with some of the unspeakable acts that bring grown men to tears, those who could commit such acts, could, or would want to change.

My situation was nowhere near what I just described, but, as a Living Witness who has experienced a transformation.  I know You can change for two reasons. Either, you learn enough to want to or you’ve been hurt enough to have to.

Call on the name of Lord!

Perhaps, there will come a time when we all will have to make that call, if so, we will have to stand up for ourselves and be accountable.  And while you’re at it, be cautious of making idle promises.  The ones we make when caught in the moment.  After all, God did say, ” before I formed you in the womb I knew thee.”  (Jeremiah 1:5  KJV)   We cannot hide from God.

Let us come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.  Hebrews 4:16

Tell Him what you want.  May I suggest you: Pray for something more important that you, and then dedicate your life to it.  Daniel Dennett

Never be afraid to try to change, then do something worthy, remember… “Amateurs built the ark. Professionals built the Titanic.”  So, with a little effort and some prayer, we can do all things through Christ; successfully.  (Philippians 4:13 KJV)

Lord, give us the strength to make positive changes in our lives, and stay under your authority.  In Jesus name we pray.  Amen

DID YOU KNOW? #21

Did you know, education plays a huge role in our everyday lives?  And did you know, there is no guarantee that education will completely prepare us for life?  It’s the way we choose to live life, that educates us; in my opinion.

So; Live as if you were to die tomorrow.  Learn as if you were to live forever.  Mahatma Gandhi

I believe the highest degree of education we can receive is not an Associate Degree, nor is it a Bachelor’s.  It’s not a Masters or Doctorate; It contacts with others; a place where we can glean useful information to help mold our lives into knowledgeable works of art, complete and harmonious; coupled with some things we would rather forget.

If we were to measure the rate of our growth based on the information we have received, perhaps the first thing we should do is check into how we are dealing with old problems.  Taking the time to make sure that they have been properly resolved by all involved, especially making peace with ourselves.

Sometimes we have to let go, but, if what we let go of is meant to be in our lives, it will present itself again at the appropriate time.  I’m a firm believer in  “What is for you is for you, Come Hell, or High Waters.”

We get a little more positive energy when we are caught between, a rock and a hard place, to the point that we have no choice but to get busy.  There are some things that compel us to do all we can.  And when we get there, for me, the magic starts.  It’s time to make things happen,” enough is enough.”

You can start with what is necessary; then do what’s possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.  Francis of Assisi
