How many times have you said or heard someone say, “I will seize the day, tomorrow?” Do you not realize tomorrow is not guaranteed, and if you only dwell in the past you will continue to live in the past? How can we get to the future if we don’t give up the past?
I did not say forget the past and don’t cut yourself short by bragging about things that are yet to come… Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knoweth not what a day may bring forth. Proverbs 27:1
When we are young, tomorrow is the last thing on our mind, but when we realized we don’t have “All the time in the world,” our growth starts to prioritize itself. So there’s a lot of truth in the saying; “All the forces in the world are not so powerful as an idea whose time has come.” We have to seize the moment because time is fleeting.
Like the old folks say, “Some things come once in a lifetime.”
I have found that those who make the worst of their time is always the first to complain it’s never enough. So, take into consideration, “The shortest distance to a destination is a straight line, and trying to delay time is a waste of time. In reality, time does not stand still, only us, and the longest wait is when we are waiting for time to pass.
For some reason, being in a hurry tends to slow the process down, a trick, our mind plays on us. The Devil got jokes!
It has been said, time heals all wounds, I disagree. As far as I’m concerned the wounds remain. But, I do believe in time the mind protects our well-being by covering the scar tissue, and with more time and grace from God, the pain will lessen.
Old injuries, memories, and realities from the past have the power to remind us of the spankings we took. The hard lessons experienced, learned and hopefully passed on so others may avoid them. We know some things need time, and we may try to delay them, but try as we may, time will not stand still until we are dead.
Death and time are the realities of life, you can’t avoid them nor slow the process. But, if you want to live again seek the Kingdom of God.
We need to understand that time can be our friend when used correctly. A good example can be found in Isaiah 31: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.
Our future is the time that is to be or come hereafter, something that will exist or happen; just not yet. For some, it’s only A Split Second Away. To God Be The Glory!
For no reason I can think of, we have a tendency to think in terms of years, especially when we are young and under the impression, we have all the time in the world, including, nothing can harm us. Some take it one day at a time, while others understand not another second is guaranteed.
The good news is: Jesus is Real, get Him and receive Everlasting Life. It is Written. Verily, verily, I say unto you. He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. John 6: 47 KJV
All we need is a split second in time to change everything. A reason, or an adjustment to look forward to a fantastic future, unless we didn’t try to have one. I believe, what is for you is for you, whether you earned it or not. But, if what you received is not of God, caution is required. The Devil gives gifts too.
Without the blessing of Jesus Christ, our gains are not always what we expect. The “know it all effect,” thrown in with just because, can cause the reward to be small. A price to pay when no effort is involved.
FYI: Those that sow much reap much. In other words, go to work and help somebody along the way.
