Did you know, life is full of natural and spontaneous changes, so perhaps challenges are right up there with the best and worst of them? I know I have had my fair share of trouble, and no matter the degree of difficulty I managed to survive; and so did you if you are reading this. We have come through the storm.
Although challenges have their distinct disadvantages, they should be viewed as a test. A test designed to show us how to respond to different situations. (Trial and error.) Fore instance: from once being on the top, a leader in your own right, to falling below personal, or peer acceptance; or visa verse.
My answer to the challenges is to never quit planning; you know they are coming. (Savings accounts, petty cash, cookie jars, sheer determination, etc.) Never give up on working on your goals; success is generally right around the corner when we do. And did you know, just one more attempt may produce the success we were seeking?
We need more than one well thought out plan, to be successful? There are steps to take, nothing just starts and end, somewhere in there is a middle, and your attitude will define your actions, perhaps, creating the story of how it came to be. (A Testimony?)
“Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.”
I hate to tell you this but; “The biggest challenge after success is, shutting up about it.” Criss Jami
But when you give to charity, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, (Vs. 4) So that your deeds of charity may be in secret; and your Father Who sees in secret will reward you openly. Matthew 5:3-4
Moliere said, “The greater the obstacle, the more glory there is in overcoming it.” One of the most vital keys to overcoming difficulties is to accept these challenges. Just like hard work strengthen the body, challenges and the degree of difficulty strengthen the mind.
Job 14:1 tells us something most should have already experienced, or at least have a clue about. And that is: Man who is born of woman is of few days and full of trouble. So there is no doubt about it, if you are on this earth, you will be challenged.
“Did you know,” the habits of a vigorous mind are formed when contending with difficulties?
One of the most difficult times of my life was when I was diagnosed with 3rd stage Breast Cancer. For the 1st time in my life, I was without a Plan B. But, I had the courage to fight this disease, and my weapons consisted of How I was going to do it, Why it had to be done, (besides staying alive) and the Will to Live.
I had experienced the abilities of Jesus Christ, before cancer, so I had begun to trust Him long before cancer tried to claim my life. Read the details in, I Survived 60 Years to Get Cancer, Then Kill It. So when the doctor said, “Your prognosis is not good,” I let the Praises go up. And not one single “Why Me,” was allowed to escape my lips. I Surrendered All!
I knew to use the How weapon, by choosing an unshakable faith in God. The purpose and use of the Why weapon is because I believe God called me to be a Living Witness. And I was not only obedient to His Will, I had a Will to Live. (Purpose) My mother was alive and she needed me.
I also believe Jesus Christ has a sense of humor. He knew he could trust me to do His Will because I don’t desire some things anymore. (Physical desires: private islands, etc.) He knew I had the Faith to overcome the disease, and the Will to live through it. More importantly, I was armed with the knowledge that Jesus Christ exists, and He is Lord.
FYI: I understood, “You don’t develop courage by being happy in your relationships everyday. You develop it by surviving difficult adversity.” Epicurus
Did you know, not all challenges are life and death situation, some only require simple problem solving, some are no problem at all, just in need of some directions, and a little patience. So with confidence, patience, persistence, and understanding; “Nothing is impossible.”
Thank you, Lord! In Jesus name, we pray for strength and confidence. Amen
