TO SOME NOTHING MATTERS?

In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock.  Thomas Jefferson

Everything counts and all of it matters?  So be grateful you are at least able to count your blessings.  Some are so overwhelmed with nothing but problems adding up, they are unable to see past the numbers.  Some can deal, for some its destiny, and for some, nothing matters…

When I was embarrassed about something, actually anything that looked bad on me, I would say, “it doesn’t matter.”  When confronted, I would say, “it don’t matter, it’s over.”  An attempt at giving off the appearance of being nonchalant; as if “nothing mattered.”  When if fact it did.

I’m good at saying “it doesn’t matter,”  especially if I don’t want to make a decision.  The problem is: everybody uses it.  “Oh, well!  It doesn’t matter to me anyway.”   Now that I told you I am only hiding behind those words, I guess I’ll have to find another way to not supposedly care.

That’s one of the problems, what happened?

The things we think don’t matter are the ones that carry the most importance and often come to life just when we don’t need any more drama.  But; in matters of truth and justice, there is no difference between large and small problems.  For issues concerning the treatment of people are all the same.  Elbert Einstein

If you want to truly know what matters when it comes to you, try measuring your wealth by who and what you are, instead of what you have or will acquire.  And, if you want to know what hurts the most, try leaving behind everything that matters the most.

At the end of the day what matters is: We do not bring the things that will matter into tomorrow, or give them creditability and power over us such as bitterness, destructive intentions, vanity, unhealthy obsession, fear of failure, false idols, just to name a few.

If you want to matter personally, do something that will make you matter.  Do it all for the Glory of God.  So don’t get it twisted, I’m not talking about something you will be hated for.  In some situations, it’s not the things we say that matters, it’s not what we do, that matters; how we do it, is what matters.

When it comes to things that matter; Only those who have the patience to do the simple things perfectly will acquire the skill to do difficult things easily.  Johann Schiller

What matters most to this site is we keep our children safe, so please remember this is a kid-friendly Blog.  We want everyone to be heard and their concerns addressed if possible, so please continue to keep your comments clean.  And I thank you for that, but the graphics on some sites are a bit much.  You never know who is watching; it may be your child.

Thank you, Lord!  In Jesus name, we pray.
