Rise up to reach your goals. We are more than we give ourselves credit for, so often we are the ones who put us down, not realizing or taking the time to realize we can be our own worst enemy.
The overall view of one’s self can at times put us in a bad place, often by comparing ourselves with the skills and accomplishments of others; which really has nothing to do with us or where we are going in life. Some never take into consideration, it’s how we live and think about ourselves that is the key to individual success, not wanting, waiting or thinking we should be like the Jones.
We are who we are, not the people down or across the street, so get busy being the best you, and who you are in Christ. Look to Him if you really want to know your value, or your place in the pecking order. (Purpose)
A good start is to realize what we see as others having “good luck” may only be good work habits and learned skills, with exceptional payoffs. Don’t be fooled by what you see or think you see that is none of your business. Trying to peek into someone else’s life does not leave much room for your own.
Luck is when opportunity meets a challenge to advance, and creates in us the desire to take advantage of the situation; or favor from God, which then puts it in a different category called: a blessing.
So, if or when the two are combined; luck and a blessing, take full advantage of the situation, with an unmistakable desire for better work habits, and a resolve to be successful. Perhaps we may be able to lift our success levels and accomplish all we choose by adding faith.
In my opinion: Luck is what we make it; Faith is a belief in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior to get the job done.
No one knows the heart of another unless it is revealed to us, and I don’t mean in a dream. Only in words, and actions, will the spirit with-in, combined with your good reputation, reveal the truth about another. (God-willing) So, to be truly happy and receive the full value of joy, it would be nice to have someone to share it with. Perhaps to curl up to, or simply be quiet with.
By surrounding ourselves with people who are willing to help our cause; which is for the betterment of all in Jesus Christ, and lift us higher, while we are in constant awe of the fact that if we want to be lifted high and above: take someone with you.
We need those around that are able and willing to motivate and lift our spirits as we return the favor. “One for all in all for one”: is just another way of expressing we are all in this thing together and together we will stand in one accord.
Solitude can also be a friend if not overvalued.
“Language…has created the word loneliness to express the pain of being alone. And it has created the word solitude to express the glory of being alone”. Paul Tillich.
Now there is a lot to be said about being alone. We actually can think better when we are in solitude at particular times, because being quite can stimulate the mind causing it to be creative. Some of the greatest thinkers and writers prefer solitude, it keeps their mind from being overly washed with the opinions of others, concerning certain subjects, that may not be reverent to their cause.
It is said that “Loneliness is the poverty of oneself, and solitude is the richness of oneself”.
Even Dr. Seuss has a take on solitude. “You can get help from teachers, but you are going to have to learn a lot by yourself, sitting alone in a room.”
That statement sounds like a good idea if we choose to be alone, but not sound advice. Leaning to our own understanding, in my opinion, creates fools.
A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself. Proverbs 18:2 Which I understand to mean; a fool is only known by a multitude of words with no substance.
Remember our world is unique only to us, whether it be on full blast or in solitude. Taking advice from what we have experienced through life’s ups and downs is the wisdom that we gained from those experiences. And the knowledge that those wins and losses will shape and move us, helping us to look forward in life, using that wisdom to educate others in the name of Jesus Christ, causing us to “Rise Up”
Lord Jesus give us the strength and the courage to rise above and beyond our own expectations, whether we are in solitude or in the fullness of others to edify and glorify your name. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen
