Sometimes, the look we think we get from others, look puzzling, causing us to wonder if we are dragging toilet tissue stuck to a shoe, or some other ungodly “Oh, No!” Sometimes when people look at us, we think we know how they see us, most of the time getting the wrong impression. This can cause second thoughts.
With some of our heads stuck in the “I know everything” mode, it’s easy for us to ignore the fact that others may not have seen us at all, possibly looking right past us. Have you ever waved or smiled at someone waving and smiling at someone else? Most of the time we only see what we want to see anyway, just like we have selective hearing.
We are so vain. Anyone want to argue that point? Me either.
Sometimes, when people do take a peek at us, and we capture that moment, we may believe we can read into what’s behind their eyes. Perhaps, “They look like they could cut your head off, etc…” It’s that “know it all, it looks like, attitude that causes our imaginations to run wild; well at least I am not the only one guilty of that
Some of us have the tendency to accept whatever we dream up as the gospel truth. We are so sure of what our irrational minds (Satan) tells us, we place ourselves on an unshakeable platform that is 100% whack. What a setback; that’s crazy to me, and an almost fail-safe for the Devil. I said almost.
“Did you know” there is nothing to hard for God to overcome that involves your life, if you let Him? But, there’s a but, and that but is: You must know him and he you.
Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:27
Satan love’s it when we think we are the “cat’s meow.” Our “I can do it all by myself” attitude, can leave us stuck in a system of devised stupidity. But, thank God, we know Jesus Christ, he alone know what we need before we do, and he is the only one able to deliver the goods to whoever is helping us, so they can help us, in this carnal world.
FYI: Every time I hear the word impossible, it has come from the mouth of someone who is negative. Pay attention to who you are listening too, “bad information is as bad as no information.”
We are so full of us we have a tendency to get lost within our selves, short-changing our worth. And since we know every little thing, “who needs it anyway?” We, at times, think we have all the information we need, and that may be true, depending on what type of information we are seeking.
Careful now, if what we seek is not of God, it will never be found in this lifetime, or any other for those of you who believe in that kind of stuff.
We have to nourish our individual appearances, no matter if it’s emotional, physical, or mental, to be the best we can be in our walk; a Christ-like look and actions are required; just in case you didn’t know.
Sometimes, when we choose to keep a low profile, (which to me is rare, or sneaky, etc.) and not express, or even be a who we are to be, in Christ, we can come off looking as if we have a less than desirable opinion of ourselves, slow to be assertive, or if the truth be told, we don’t have a clue, and some just don’t care. One can only work with what they have, “it is what it is.”
We must create something useful to and for others; this is what will make our look and time on earth count. So take a mental note: shutting down is not one on them. That’s worst than being a loud mouth with no justification.
FYI: Some loudmouth people know what they are talking about, so they keep shouting to get our attention. Just keeping it real. But, if you really, really, really want to be seen, and heard, tell the world that Jesus Christ is Lord, and let the world, like it or not.
We must step up to the plate and proclaim Jesus Christ, as our Lord and Savior, and we must sow in order to reap. There is a lot to the ole saying, “Give in order to git.”
I just want to add, sometimes the look of modesty can lead to self-destruction also. There seems to be a good and a bad to everything. Let me explain myself, some of these looks are not honest. So, pray for the best. The Lord God Almighty said for us to come boldly to the throne in prayer. And, it does not matter what shape the world is in we still need Jesus Christ to live, and he is waiting to take us to the next level.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 5:16
There are no bad looks and misunderstanding worth our concerns when, “What shall we then say to these things: If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31
Thank you, thank you Lord, In Jesus name we pray. Amen!
