SEVEN THINGS, GOD HATES!

“The bitter truth is better than the sweetest lie.”  For instance, that “little white lie won’t hurt anyone.”  Yes, it will, so don’t let anyone tell you these Seven things are alright in the eyes of God.

One: Feet eager to run to evil.

Two: A lying witness who gives false Testimony.

Three: One who stirs up trouble among brothers.

Four: Arrogant eyes.

Five: A lying tongue.

Six: Hands that shed innocent Blood.

Seven: A heart that plot wicked schemes.

Proverbs 6:16-19   Now you know.

Thank you, Lord, for this wisdom.  In Jesus name, we pray and give all the glory.  Amen

ATTITUDE; THE PEACE KILLER!

In order to be happy we must be at peace with ourselves and others, and in order to achieve that peace and happiness, we must have a relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Being contented with happy thoughts that are coupled with a peaceful state of mind all depends on our “Attitude.”  Changing our sourpuss demeanor into a pleasant one will change our lives.  Try it.

“It’s Something to Think About,”  and it’s better to think about it now than later; the physical clock is ticking, and Satan is waiting.

In Jesus name, we pray for a fulfilled life.   Amen

SOME PEOPLE?

In my opinion with some knowledge of the subject; Some people are so worried about tomorrow they forget about today.  And, some people live in a bottomless pit of thinking “what if,” and are always worrying about what tomorrow may or might not bring.  These people probably see life as guess-work with no positives, resulting in a total waste of time that can never be regained.

Some people over-think every aspect of what they have no control over, and of the things that won’t be known until they actually exist.  Some people don’t even bother to try to deal with right now.

Some people think too much and have created unrealistic beliefs about what they are capable of tomorrow.  Some people may want to rethink that notion and do what they can today.  For we all know tomorrow is not promised, so by putting aside all foolishness, and heeding the words written in the Bible concerning the things we know nothing about, we may actually learn something.

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.   James 5:14-15

Somebody needs to tell some people, each day has its own set of troubles, and to pray to Jesus Christ, for solutions as they arise.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.  Matthew 6:34

Thank you, Lord, for protecting us as only you know how.  In Jesus name, we pray.

DID YOU KNOW? #5

Did you know, we must do all we can to not be a servant to what we cannot change?  (Wheelchair bound, etc.)  And did you know, we must resolve ourselves to be all we can be, by standing on our own merits?  And did you know, decisions concerning every aspect of our lives will have to be made or the world will make them for us?

In other words, we can accept things as they are or we can accept the responsibility to try to change things in order to make a difference…

Personally, I favor making my own decisions, but when I include our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in the process, I make excellent ones.  “It’s Something to Think About!”

“In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves.  The process never ends until we die.  And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility.”   Eleanore Roosevelt

Thank you Lord for waking me and keeping me in my right mind to do the right thing because of good decisions.  In Jesus name we pray.

I WANT IT ALL!

I want stuff too, as a matter of fact, “I Want it All.”

I want life more abundantly, love, respect, and of course great wealth.  But, I need to have the Favor of God, for without his will my wants are only “Wishful Thinking.”

If we have ever wondered about having an abundance of physical things and they are in accordance with what God has in store for us, it just may be possible.

If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?   1st Corinthians 9:11

Everything belongs to God, so who said we can’t have our cake and eat it too?   ” It’s His Choice,”  but we still have to sow in order to reap.  Back in the day when I made specific plans, you can bet they were  “all about me,”  while claiming I knew exactly how they were going to play out in advance.  Don’t ask me how I just knew was my defense.

Later, I would wonder if I had loss my mind while thinking I could read yours.  Some things would have to change because I was in need of prayer, including a lift off of my high and mighty I know everything attitude because I am perfect.

I was not the only one thinking I was a little too sure of me.  As I was leaving a gathering, I heard a friend complaining to another about me.  They both were in agreement that someone needed to talk to me about my bigger than life attitude.  Hearing that, I was thinking don’t hate on me, I have problems too, I just don’t advertise my personal dilemmas, whining to the world when things don’t go my way, so everything is not what it seems… I put on a brave face.

I have always wanted what I wanted so I went to work to make sure I got what I wanted.  Some just don’t get it, I don’t have any more than the rest, I just don’t have the responsibilities that would spread my wallet thin, because of the decisions I made.  I wanted to be free, and have all the toys I could afford, so I didn’t put myself in a position to share the wealth.  (Marriage, children, etc.)

Regardless of what some may say, I know my plans are nothing without favor and prayer.  That knowledge alone gave me confidence, not the I am better than the rest attitude.  I knew the secret to success had to involve something that is beneficial to others while being mindful that  “The devil gives gifts too.”   The difference in these gifts are; with Christ, they don’t come in the form of a “payday loan.”

Prayer, coupled with faith and favor from Christ are some powerful tools; just what we need to get some of those carnal things we desire.  (Trains, Planes, and Automobiles, etc…)  Including the spiritual strength, we need to continue battling what may come our way, that is not of God.

We have to wear more than one hat these days.  So, we must prepare our hearts to be one with Christ so we can focus on the everyday ups and downs, maintaining friendships, knowing how to be fair and balanced, coupled with being disciplined.

I believed if I remained focused, I may be able to do just enough for His Will To Be Done; In My Favor.  I was hopeful that I could get what I wanted by adopting the ways of Christ, and by giving and sharing I may be able to put myself in line for a miracle.

When I was diagnosed with cancer, instead of crying foul, I praised God from the top of my lungs for all the life he had given me before that dreadful day of acknowledgment.  Yes, the one who could not be touched by life’s cruelties was now tainted with realism.  A day of reckoning and the first of many bitter pills to swallow.

By acknowledging the fact that I was not immune to life’s up’s and downs, I kept the faith and managed to opt out of self-pity, and whimpering in a corner, “Why me?”

“Why not me?”  I knew I was no better than the rest in the eyes of Christ, so I decided to show it and be grateful for what had already been given, and tone myself down so as not to hear my friends’ concerns.   My change of attitude turned my life around and gave me a real sense of purpose.

I now know the best route to take in order to achieve my desires, was to share all I would learn from a terrible situation, (Cancer) and turn that disease into a life-saving Testimony, for all who would listen.  With this type of attitude and faith, my life, lead by the Holy Spirit was saved, plucked from the clutches of near death to tell these stories, and I am staying the course.

By praising and sharing instead of complaining, I am able to Testify to the fact that God is Good.  For all our desires, we should be doing the Will of God; which is a commitment to serve him.  That desire will win the day if we are Praising God from whom all blessing flow.

Action speaks louder than words, so I got busy learning how to not be the subject of unhealthy conversations.  I prayed for a better life and that lead me to become a Motivational Speaker, Blogger, Storyteller, Author, and an all around better Christian.  No one can do that for us but we and faith played a major part in that transition.

Look where faith has gotten me after the doctors felt I was a hopeless case.  It was faith that carried through.  I desired life, and I was blessed with it because I follow the rules.  I share what I have and know.  All of us are in line for blessings, but in order to receive them, we must be ready in our desire to serve The Lord.

Are you ready to do the things you must do in order to receive the desires of your heart.?  To have it all while living the productive life Jesus Christ wants us to have.  As with most things hard work reaps great rewards, and so as with this.

In Jesus name we pray for life everlasting.   Amen

DID YOU KNOW #4?

Not moving forward for whatever reason, is what holds us back, (fear, money, etc.) and by not having a desire to achieve will keep us back.  We are all familiar with “Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future.”  But, “Did You Know,”  that if you feel life has cheated you out of your desires, it could be because you have trust issues.

“Did You Know,” responsibility will not go away no matter how hard we try to avoid it.  Also, with our great imaginations, and even with  “The I want’s,”  burning deep inside, we still need the potential to carry our wishes out in order to be successful, and to know how important it is to consider the fact that we are only as wise as our teachers.

Did you know that?

Thank You Lord for all your knowledge!  In Jesus name, we pray.

WHAT’S BETTER THAN GIFTS?

Being alive, another gift from God.  That’s my answer… Problem?

Most of us love gifts, physical and or mental gifts.  Especially the ones we are surprised by, and most times that is because they’re free, or so we think.  Ever since Cancer knocked some sense into me, I’ve come to terms with there are all types of gifts; some realized, some not, and some lost forever.

There are gifts we work hard for; do this and you will receive that.  Then there are gifts we acquire without effort or without them being earned; something just wanted us to have whatever… Including the gifts that require a special ability, something natural; our God-Given Talents, which should be our favorite.

Oh!  I haven’t forgotten the Devil gives gifts, too; We stole something and didn’t get caught.  DUD!

The thing that makes our gifts worthwhile is when someone else gets to enjoy them while giving us all the praise we can handle.  All artists know they must give everything to get high praises, and anything less than their best is a waste of their gift.

An artist also knows; “The artist is nothing without the gift, and the gift is nothing without work.”   Emile Zola

Just remember while everyone else is praising you, you give All the Glory to God.

God gave us the gift of life: it is up to us to give ourselves the gift of living well.”   Voltaire

Thank you, Lord, for our gifts, and teach us how to use them to glorify you so we can enjoy all that is given to us while we are here on Earth.  In Jesus name, we pray.  Amen!

SELF INDUCED HAPPINESS IS KEY!

Some of us are under the impression that happiness is something that should be automatic.  We are so self-centered we actually believe it is up to others to make and maintain our happiness. (Mates, friends, etc.)  A feeling of entitlement is the culprit, coupled with the I should haves, and it’s up to others to may sure I get it, attitude.

“Happiness is not something ready-made.  It comes from your own actions.”    Dalai Lama

It’s Something to Think About.”

Thank you, Lord.  In Jesus name, we pray.

STICKS AND STONES?

“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can’t hurt me.”  Oh yes they can, and now I view everything that happens as a lesson learned, and I try not to repeat any unpleasantries.

In the meantime, although I try to appear as if I have everything under control, I still can’t escape the sting of some unmistakable harsh words, fused with the detrimental reactions that often accompany them.  I have even told myself and others I wasn’t hurt in the process.

I strive to take some situations like a big girl, although deep inside I am truly hurt by something said, and my pride is shattered.  But, that doesn’t mean I wallowed in the muck.  So, don’t get it twisted, I am not soft, I just don’t make a bigger fool out of myself by continuing to talk if I am caught,  “red-handed”  or not.  I learn my lessons and build from there; it’s easier and it saves time.

“A successful man is one who can lay a foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him.”   David Brinkley

Thank you, Lord, for all you do.  In Jesus name, we pray.
