“I didn’t mean to” is an excuse, and most times that statement is the opening act to a lie. Just like being caught in the act has a direct effect on our memories. Which is usually our first line of defense; “I don’t know why I did that.” Or, the classic, “I don’t remember?”

When we do wrong on purpose or not, or if we fail at something, excuses are the route we take to cover our assets. One lie leads to two, and so on and so forth, leaving the consequences that evolve from each chapter more intense.
For every man shall bear his own burden. Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teach in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sowed, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:5-7
