HATED IT!

08 Jun

Hate: to feel intense dislike, extreme aversion or hostility. Most of the time we make up things to hate on, but in some instances, the word hate can be used as a compliment.  “I hate that dress, where did you get it? I want one just like it.”  An oxymoron; a figure of speech with a self-contradictory effect.

There are times when we have no excuses, still we lash out at others with snide remarks and cruel physical might. Taking our frustrations out on everyone, while eliminating ourselves from the equation, where the root cause of our hatred lies.

“I imagine one of the reasons people cling to their hates so stubbornly is because they sense, once hate is gone, they will be forced to deal with the pain.”   James Baldwin

Hate will hate the hater, just like it does everyone else, and there are no tangible exceptions. Even the hater will be treated in kind; as if they are only sores festering with pus. The price for their behavior may be far more than it will cost any of us. I know that is hard to swallow. So, I present my case as; It is only a season of wrath in our personal life, and some will get over it, but for the hater, it’s a lifetime of discontent.

“I will permit no man to narrow and degrade my soul by making me hate him.”   Booker T. Washington

I think Katerina Klemer might have hit the nail on the head defining the consequences of hate;

There is no beauty in sadness. No honor in suffering. No relief in hate. Just a waste of perfectly good happiness.

It takes energy and an over the top attitude to hate. I was racked with cancer, but, I did not hate the disease or the ones it had not touched. I chose to embrace it, in order to forge a mighty battle, this way, it could not feed my soul.  “Hated It!”  You do know that old saying, don’t you?   “Keep your enemies close.”  My intent was to starve it out of existence with Faith.

Adding hate to any equation may be a lethal dose of self-inflicted death; something I was not willing to consume.

I have seen what has happened to the ones who let go of their faith, and it did not end well. I wasn’t adding more misery to my plate, I was seeking to lighten the load, by picking up my cross and stepping out on faith, with the intent of sharing the truth that with Jesus Christ; Cancers, Haters, and Manipulators, are not going to define ruin, or run my life.

An example is; some guy driving behind me, is trying to intimidate me to drive faster, plus, I am already over the speed limit. The driver is enthusiastically trying to push me to my limits in order to make me drive my car the way he wants me to, and there is a car in front of me. With nowhere to go, so, in order to get away from that knucklehead behind me; which I will call the Devil. Instead of getting mad and hating, I call out to Jesus Christ, because I know the Devil will flee.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.   James 4:7

In order to be successful in my journey, seeking revenge on those who did not suffer as I did, and crying out  “Why me,”  was not going to buy me any brownie points. Planning and plotting to take others on a long and desperate ride straight to Hell. Spewing out hate all because I am mad?

Something far worse than what we know may have been on those haters plates. Demons, maybe? More than a few of us have adversities, and some keep them well-kept secrets. We may never know what is occurring in another’s life, although we think we know them well.

Spying on your so-called friends is a hatred we may not recognize. And some discovered secrets, belonging to a long time friend or any other, should have stayed with them. Some secrets will leave us in utter disbelief. Other people’s secrets are not your business, especially if you have to do a thorough investigation.

Don’t let your troubles turn into a monsoon of sorrows, driven by hatred, fueled by Satan. And remember when we compare our misfortunes with the problems of others, we can only fantasize about what really happened, because most are not willing to tell “the rest of the story.”  And believe me, “the grass is not greener on the other side of the street; I checked.

Let’s do a reality check, right now, so as not to get my purpose twisted, or be confused. I am not an instructor, or visionary, etc… I am a believer in Christ Jesus, who happen to have had quite a few adventures in life. Visiting a span of seasons that were unbelievable close calls; if not for Christ, I would be dead. Just to tell all, our strength and faith, coupled with compassion for others, not hate, will give us peace. I know what I am talking about; I have paid the price.

“Don’t take the advice of someone who has never experienced the situation.”  I only talk about what I have experienced, and I am a Living Witness for Jesus Christ because I lived “Through it all.”  And I am convinced, one of the reasons I was saved, is to tell you how I received a Miracle

I knew with Grace and the favor of God, I would be capable of handling any season. And, I am woman enough to take my hard knocks and make a positive out of them by not striking out. I know some, “for no reason,”  whose intent is to wreak as much havoc as possible.

In some of our small and selfish minds, we feel, that whatever happens to us must be inflicted on the rest. Swearing, to God Almighty, that we will seek to destroy, and our hatred will rain down revenge on all, even if others had nothing to do with whatever ails us.

FYI: To the haters, self-absorbed, and foolish, I say, careful now, with all that swearing, and those promises coming from your lips. The ones about what you’re going to do, “so help you, God.”  We don’t have that type of power.  “Thy Will Be Done.”

The Words of God, clearly tells us in Matthew 5:36; Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.

In my experiences, hate seems to be born from a lack of love for one’s own self. Complete with bad decisions, often coupled with the lack of a proper education; these are a few excuses from a long list of the most basic of reasons we despise another, and we have a twisted belief that we have not been treated fairly.

Why don’t we ever take into consideration we may have caused our own shortcomings, by standing outside the doors of education, planning our next hustle on the unsuspecting, instead of taking a seat on the inside? Proclaiming, we have all the God given skills we need, while wondering where is our success?

Praying for help can be a game changer that may help us to escape our personal demons. Creating in us a new-found wisdom, often changing our lives for the better. But, some of us will remain as is, by choice. A choice made from sheer ignorance, and afraid that help has the appearance making us look weak. So at some point we decided to not spread our wings by declaring, “my mind is made up.”

I know that type of stubbornness all too well, and I “Hated It,” still I refused to relent. An attitude that came with an astronomical price tag. A bad decision that could have cost more than we can bear. We can thank the devil for that. The God I serve, Jesus Christ said he will never let us be tempted to the point it is more than we can bear. Read it, 1st Corinthians 10:13  KJV

Haters will reveal themselves by their actions, while speaking in riddles. Beware of their words. These people, in my opinion, do not love themselves, and strive on being overly controlling and cruel. Never embracing the errors of their ways. Refusing to take on any blame or responsibility for their own lives. Spending their time brooding and doing all they can cause unrest.

It’s your choice to live with a mindset that is full of hate for all, because someone else got the promotion, or just because. Don’t try to blame your decisions and consequences on the masses. And for your own sake, don’t let hatred be your legacy, the work of the evil one, Satan. “It’s Something To Think About.”

Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hates you. We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that love not his brother abides in death. Whosoever hated his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.   1st John 3:13-15

Thank you Lord for showing us the way out of the darkness. In Jesus name we pray.  Amen
