ENTER TO WIN!

1st Place is alright with me! I like being a winner, I wonder why some don’t. The Spoilers. Compelled to do the dirty work. This is not healthy.

According to me, this must be the work of the Devil. I never heard of God doing “dirty work.”  Standing at the entrance to success as a guard. Positioned to push back any and all who wish to enter. Maybe some are not educated and don’t know they don’t always have to be a spoiler. Instead of trying to stop the progress of others, press for some headway on your own, by stepping across the finish line for yourselves. The prize is in the winning. Take it.

We all know that winning is a victory. To win something is a reward, a gift, luck, a blessing, how about a windfall?  We are all at different levels of what we consider to be a win, getting there is another story.

The way to win at anything is to have a plan and stay the course. I know of no race to be won by quitting or almost finishing. You must go all the way.  Even the Bible encourages us to “win the race.”

1st Corinthians 9:24; “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receive the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.”

One of the reasons blinders is placed on race horses, is to keep them focused for a race, and stayed in the course. Powerful horses are being contained and programmed, taught a behavior pattern where only strength and speed is required. With that said, we as people are not contained; and we certainly are not horses.

Humans have the God given ability to make choices, and multitask, besides having athletic ability, we retain a vivid and useful imagination. My vision is to see it restored to the greater good.  Not weapons of “mass destruction,” and some awful things we read in today’s headlines. In this world, our eyes need to be wide open, with and without blinders.

Enough can’t be said about “some things are better left alone.”  Especially since we are in a race for our lives.

Need a clue?  How about wasting time, trying to figure out the lives of others, and what’s best for them. That’s not your task. You focus on the Lord, He alone will keep tabs on the rest. Once under His protection, the battle is not ours, anyway. When we give ourselves to Christ and follow the rules, we are guaranteed to be a winner in life.

The Devil is so busy it’s hard to believe or trust most things that are common, nowadays.

“THE NEW NORM;”

Call it what you want, but I don’t need to tell you, that there is enough going on to keep us off-balance. The sad part is we know it and still we are not pressing toward a win,win situation, or a higher calling in Christ. We have become pawns. Attacked, and attacking in all directions, causing some of us to get off on the wrong track. Some of us are conjuring up things, not realizing this may cause us to waddle in misery.  I know you have heard, “You reap what you sow”, and there’s more.

Job 4:8 say; “Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.”

Proverbs 22:8 is very clear. “He that sow iniquity shall reap vanity:and the rod of his anger shall fail.”

According to me, “right is still right and wrong has gotten worst.”  N. L. Cherry

Thank God for those who press on, setting a righteous path for us who are slow to get out of the starting gate.. So when that wake up call comes, and we are finally able to get on track, we can follow the course that is set before us; this way we can steer away from some trouble, that may spoil our original purpose in life.

When we are focused on others, and not on winning a successful life race; and begin using our gifts for all the wrong reasons, there is a heavy price to pay.  Stiff penalties, for not heeding the teachings of Christ. But once we can discern things that are helpful in our lives and others, blessings are bound to come our way. God knows our every need and desire, and life goes on, without too much drama.

Now don’t get me wrong, I know what I said, “without too much drama.”  I am very much aware of the fact that we still live in the carnal world, and things happen, all the time. Having “Christ like minds” help us to handle life without a meltdown.

Recognize that some things are not that easy, and at some point, we may get off track; “it happens.”  Get back on. For me, I cry out loud; Get thee behind me Satan, and call on the name of the Lord, in no particular order. I have no idea of what you do, but I play it safe, by staying under the authority of Christ.

What can you lose with Jesus?

Think about all the possibilities, just waiting for us to take advantage of. After all, some of us think we can win the lottery.  We take all types of chances, we bet on horses too; win, place or show. Sometimes, some of us are careless enough to bet on our own lives without Christ, knowing our chances to win are slim to none, without Him.

So may I suggest you play to win, roll the dice with Christ, “the odds are in your favor;”  three to one.   The Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

“IT’S SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT.”

THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX!

The last time I checked, I was still alive, but for a life to be wholesome, there has to be a “will to live;” coupled with a desire to “Think outside of the box.” So for me, I picked up the Bible and started to read.

Our youth go to an early grave because of a lack of will, skills, and knowledge, needed to carry them thru their present situations. “What happened?”

Most times when something goes wrong, it started as a small thing and grew. It could be something like a small word with a huge meaning. The word desire alone is so powerful it can add value; to greatly enhance some lives. There is a lot to be said about what some things mean, and what should be taught.

A desire is to; long for something to crave it. Not like a mad dog.” Everything has a limit, except Christ.

When we have a relationship with ChristChrist, we have an overwhelming desire for life everlasting. This type of relationship gives us something to look forward to; the “Promises of God.”  When we don’t know Him, we have no knowledge of a better life; let alone how to achieve it.

Those living in the shadows of the Devil are often kept in the dark and are trapped. Aware of the only difference between “stuck in a rut” and the grave are the dimensions. “Go to Church,” anywhere you can receive the Word of Christ in your life.  Read, Study, and Believe the Bible.

“Verily, verily, I say unto you. He that hears my word, and believe on him that sent me, have everlasting life. And shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life.”  John 5:24

What happened to rules, regulations, respect, manners, value, sympathy, concern? “Love thy neighbor as thyself.”  I know those traits are out there somewhere. The thing is; a godly type of personality has become as rare as finding a “lost sock;”  “It is what it is, and the truth hurts.”

I disagree with that last statement, “the truth hurts.”  Not all the time. Plus, truth is a great healer.

What is wrong with some of us? We act as if nothing matters anymore. Some of us have become complacent? (Self-satisfied and unaware of the possible dangers.)  Then there are the ones who have become so deceitful; some say we are “marching straight to Hell in a hand basket.”

That’s the problem; we are headed in the wrong direction.  “My way or the highway.”  What is that suppose to mean? The World is not yours, but you can have it as far as I am concerned.

“And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2

We are running around with our eyes wide open; being deceived, and our minds are shut down. Why are we angry all the time? Everyone except us seems to be doing well. Some just don’t get it. People only let you see what they want you to see. Maybe they don’t want you to know their business; unpaid bills, windfall, etc. Who does?

If you are under the impression that others know something you don’t, there is the possibility that you are right. That is why I am here, To tell you, some people “Know the Lord” and are receiving “Peace of Mind.”

Although I can only speak for myself; I believe Christians and some others don’t shut their life down wondering about yours. We only concern ourselves with what really matters and most of the time it is not you; if anything it’s something for you. The choice is ours. We can continue to live our life watching others or we can open our minds and find creative ways to live our own.

“But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.”  Galatians 6:4

If we would just step back and take a good look at ourselves. A really good clean, honest look at “who we are.”  This may take time, and a certain degree of courage; because we have a hard time admitting things to ourselves. We even go so far as to say; “As if it is going to matter, anyway.”  OH! IT GOING TO MATTER.

We can be an outside show-off or an inside coward, “who knows?”  The meat of the matter is who we claim we are, and most of our biggest conflicts come from within:

We have the ability far beyond anyone else to make ourselves unhappy. Miserable; and “misery loves company.”  Yea, right, some may want to deliver misery, not hang around it. But we alone can inflict the greatest pain imaginable on ourselves. The sad part is we know that, and continue to do so. I know we can change this and give us the greatest joy. By understanding our Spirit, and what’s in our hearts.

“Fighting others is a hard battle, fighting ourselves is suicide.”  N. L. Cherry

We do not have to experience, extremities, if we know where they are coming from. Like I said, most likely they are self-inflicted. “Don’t dim your own shine?”  Seek the Peace of God and the love of yourself, including others.

“And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any praise, think on these things; those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.”   Philippians 4; 7-9

As for me, “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 3: 14

“Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speaking,  1st Peter 2:1

I pray you will consider the given Testimony and answer this: “What are you going to do about it?”

Come on now, start “Thinking Outside the Box.”  Following after others, hurting ourselves is really not what we want. Step away from what you know to be wrong. You know what I am talking about. That wrong thing you do over and over. Trial and error are over. Our way doesn’t work. Step “outside the box” and into your own, with  Christ.

You are a “unique individual,” someone to be reckoned with. Christ knows that too.

Take advantage of Jesus. That’s all I have to say about that.
