1st Place is alright with me! I like being a winner, I wonder why some don’t. The Spoilers. Compelled to do the dirty work. This is not healthy.
According to me, this must be the work of the Devil. I never heard of God doing “dirty work.” Standing at the entrance to success as a guard. Positioned to push back any and all who wish to enter. Maybe some are not educated and don’t know they don’t always have to be a spoiler. Instead of trying to stop the progress of others, press for some headway on your own, by stepping across the finish line for yourselves. The prize is in the winning. Take it.
We all know that winning is a victory. To win something is a reward, a gift, luck, a blessing, how about a windfall? We are all at different levels of what we consider to be a win, getting there is another story.
The way to win at anything is to have a plan and stay the course. I know of no race to be won by quitting or almost finishing. You must go all the way. Even the Bible encourages us to “win the race.”
1st Corinthians 9:24; “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receive the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.”
One of the reasons blinders is placed on race horses, is to keep them focused for a race, and stayed in the course. Powerful horses are being contained and programmed, taught a behavior pattern where only strength and speed is required. With that said, we as people are not contained; and we certainly are not horses.
Humans have the God given ability to make choices, and multitask, besides having athletic ability, we retain a vivid and useful imagination. My vision is to see it restored to the greater good. Not weapons of “mass destruction,” and some awful things we read in today’s headlines. In this world, our eyes need to be wide open, with and without blinders.
Enough can’t be said about “some things are better left alone.” Especially since we are in a race for our lives.
Need a clue? How about wasting time, trying to figure out the lives of others, and what’s best for them. That’s not your task. You focus on the Lord, He alone will keep tabs on the rest. Once under His protection, the battle is not ours, anyway. When we give ourselves to Christ and follow the rules, we are guaranteed to be a winner in life.
The Devil is so busy it’s hard to believe or trust most things that are common, nowadays.
“THE NEW NORM;”
Call it what you want, but I don’t need to tell you, that there is enough going on to keep us off-balance. The sad part is we know it and still we are not pressing toward a win,win situation, or a higher calling in Christ. We have become pawns. Attacked, and attacking in all directions, causing some of us to get off on the wrong track. Some of us are conjuring up things, not realizing this may cause us to waddle in misery. I know you have heard, “You reap what you sow”, and there’s more.
Job 4:8 say; “Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.”
Proverbs 22:8 is very clear. “He that sow iniquity shall reap vanity:and the rod of his anger shall fail.”
According to me, “right is still right and wrong has gotten worst.” N. L. Cherry
Thank God for those who press on, setting a righteous path for us who are slow to get out of the starting gate.. So when that wake up call comes, and we are finally able to get on track, we can follow the course that is set before us; this way we can steer away from some trouble, that may spoil our original purpose in life.
When we are focused on others, and not on winning a successful life race; and begin using our gifts for all the wrong reasons, there is a heavy price to pay. Stiff penalties, for not heeding the teachings of Christ. But once we can discern things that are helpful in our lives and others, blessings are bound to come our way. God knows our every need and desire, and life goes on, without too much drama.
Now don’t get me wrong, I know what I said, “without too much drama.” I am very much aware of the fact that we still live in the carnal world, and things happen, all the time. Having “Christ like minds” help us to handle life without a meltdown.
Recognize that some things are not that easy, and at some point, we may get off track; “it happens.” Get back on. For me, I cry out loud; Get thee behind me Satan, and call on the name of the Lord, in no particular order. I have no idea of what you do, but I play it safe, by staying under the authority of Christ.
What can you lose with Jesus?
Think about all the possibilities, just waiting for us to take advantage of. After all, some of us think we can win the lottery. We take all types of chances, we bet on horses too; win, place or show. Sometimes, some of us are careless enough to bet on our own lives without Christ, knowing our chances to win are slim to none, without Him.
So may I suggest you play to win, roll the dice with Christ, “the odds are in your favor;” three to one. The Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
