Revelation 14:13,”And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which, die in the Lord for henceforth: Yea, from their labors; and their works do follow them.”
“For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.” Lamentations 3:33.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hear my word, and believe on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” John 5:24.
In response to one of my readers who recently lost a loved one, and all those who may have struggled with this issue. I can’t tell you how to control grief, what I can say is found in the Bible; where the answer, to all things, can be found. Therefore, if you believe the words therein, you can gain relief.
I can’t think of anything more grievous in this world then Death.
Jeremiah 10:19 tells us; “Woe is me for my hurt! My wound is grievous: but I said, Truly this is a grief, and I must bear it.
“And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Believest thou this.” John 11:26.
“We are confident, I say, and willing to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”
2nd Corinthians 5:8.
These verses are another reason to belong to a Bible Believing, Bible Teaching Church, to help us understand death and grieving.There is so much more.
Verses such as Psalms 68:20;”He that is our God is the God of salvation and unto God the Lord belong the issues from death.‘
Psalms 18:6;”In my distress, I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.”
You must get right with God your Comforter, and Pray.
“Hear the right, O Lord, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer that goes not out of feigned lips.” Psalms 17:1.
Ashes to ashes, and dust to dust. Cry when they are born and rejoice when they are gone. Remember those special times between the dashes, the date of birth and the date of death, find relief in the good things, to have known them, and them, God.
Death is the beginning of everlasting life.
That statement is the beginning of peace and an understanding of;
“For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore or die, we are the Lord’s.
